Role Description The post holder will play a key role in the coordination of data for the Adult Major Trauma Centre (MTC) at Aintree Hospital within the Cheshire & Merseyside Major Trauma Network. The role is to ensure that clinical information from patient records for major trauma patients is extracted, interpreted and submitted in line with national deadlines, guidance and requirements for the National Major Trauma Registry (NMTR). This post has diversity by also providing efficient and timely administrative duties to the Major Trauma Centre (MTC) Management team and Major Trauma Nurse Practitioners (MTNPs). *Please note this vacancy may close early once sufficient applications have been received* - To input information onto the National NMTR database ensuring that all data is complete and of a high quality. - Daily trauma patient tracking, following the patient journey through the system. - Patient data entry into the NMTR database. - Daily reconciliation of data and information relating to major trauma patients. - Knowledge and use of the hospital PAS database to extract data from systems in accordance with Trust policy. - Collecting data and information, ensuring accurate data is obtained and maintained to ensure compliance with local, regional and national data requirements. - On behalf of the Band 4 coordinators to monitor and disseminate results relating to NMTR as required. - Complete additional ad-hoc duties as specified by the Major Trauma Operational Lead and provide support to other Trauma & Orthopaedic services when required. - Deal efficiently with enquiries from all levels of medical, nursing, managerial and other health professional staff in a timely and courteous manner. - Attend all mandatory training as directed. - Ensure confidentiality of data and case notes is maintained at all times. - To maintain own understanding of the National Major Trauma Network. - To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate the Trust values.
