Tech Lead Manager, Platform Engineering
Multi Media, LLC
• Design and maintain scalable CI/CD systems, self-service workflows, and platform capabilities that support our engineering organization. • Lead and develop a team of 2-4 Platform Engineers through 1:1s, mentoring, goal-setting, and performance management. • Own technical architecture decisions for platform systems by designing solutions that balance developer experience, reliability, and operational simplicity. • Partner with engineering leadership and cross-functional teams to drive platform adoption and embed security, reliability, and compliance into workflows. • Drive hiring efforts by refining candidate profiles, interview rubrics, and ensuring assessments validate real-world platform engineering skills. • Foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement where engineers are empowered to propose and drive solutions. • Ensure operational health of platform systems through incident response practices, SLAs, and systematic technical debt reduction. • Champion standardization by establishing golden paths for infrastructure-as-code, containerization, and observability.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
- 2+ years of experience as a tech lead, engineering manager, or TLM for infrastructure/platform teams, or clear evidence of leading complex platform initiatives and mentoring engineers.
- Strong practical experience with CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI) including pipeline design, performance optimization, and secrets management.
- Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) in production environments.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm) and solid grasp of cloud infrastructure concepts.
- Proficiency in at least one language commonly used for tooling and backend work (Python, Go, Rust, or TypeScript).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
- Strong communication skills, particularly when explaining technical trade-offs and constraints to cross-functional partners.

- Experience building and operating self-hosted CI/CD runner infrastructure
- Track record of driving platform adoption across large engineering organizations
- Background in security automation or compliance tooling
- Experience with observability platforms and debugging distributed systems

• As a Senior Platform Engineer for Second Front Systems, we expect you to architect, improve, implement, and operate our cloud native platform for deploying software as a service offerings to the national security ecosystem. • You will be central to the research, experimentation, and development needed to deliver our Platform platform (Game Warden) onto classified fabrics. • As part of a cross functional team, you'll build, test, validate, and operate Game Warden in accordance with the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community security and compliance standards. • You'll work closely with government interlocutors to understand, provision, and secure cloud-based resources in support of research and development efforts to get Game Warden deployed on classified networks. • You'll gain a level of DoD 8570 compliance. • You'll be expected to establish benchmarks, outline key activities, and prioritize efforts across multiple initiatives and programs. • You'll be responsible for developing and documenting new solutions, working independently, and contributing to a culture of diversity, innovation, and excellence.
