Shared Services Accountant, Xero Specialist

• Maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities in Xero • Process purchase and sales invoices, journals, and perform bank reconciliations • Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely, accurate actions • Prepare books to trial balance and assist with monthly management accounts • Support year-end audit preparation and VAT compliance • Contribute to budgeting, cash flow forecasts, and strategic financial planning • Lead adoption and optimization of Xero-connected apps (payroll, expense tools, CRM, etc.) • Identify process improvements, automation opportunities, and cleaner workflows • Collaborate with internal teams and respond to client-facing finance queries • Mentor and support your finance team in delivering exceptional results • Take ownership of designing, implementing, and continuously improving finance processes across Deimos and its associated entities. • Establish clear, scalable standard operating procedures, ensure consistent adoption across teams, and provide guidance to stakeholders to embed disciplined, compliant financial practices throughout the business
Principal Site Reliability Engineer

• Design and build advanced cloud-native infrastructure • Guide technical discussions with clients and build technical roadmaps • Collaborate with the Engineering Director(s) to (re)design architecture • Assist the Site Reliability Manager with resource planning • Assist engineering managers with building career paths for individuals wishing to be promoted to Principal Engineers • Teach, mentor, grow, and provide advice to other domain experts, individual contributors, and across several teams. • Document processes and monitor performance metrics • Guide conversations to remove blockers and encourage collaboration across teams. • Constantly improve the stability, scalability, security, cost-effectiveness, and operational excellence of our clients' systems. • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency and security. • Conduct infrastructure planning, testing, and development • Provide technical leadership on multiple projects.
• Implement the Observability Ladder and define SLAs, SLIs, and SLOs. • Build deployment tooling that allows teams to automate rollbacks when error budgets are depleted. • Drive a blameless post-mortem culture focused on actionable takeaways and measurable metrics. • Continuously improve alerting and on-call frameworks to reduce alert fatigue. • Develop systems for pre- and post-deployment verification, • Lead the drive to manage reliability suite through IaC using Terraform.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient platforms. • Treat cloud infrastructure as a product and internal developers as customers. • Build self-service tooling, automated guardrails, and platform experience for engineers. • Automate infrastructure, optimise CI/CD pipelines, and ensure platform reliability and performance. • Drive Platform Engineering best practices, improve developer productivity, and foster operational excellence through infrastructure-as-code and modern tooling. • Kubernetes & Containerisation: Kubernetes, Istio, ArgoCD, Helm & CI/CD for containerised workloads. • Monitoring and Logging: Prometheus, Loki, Grafana & ELK to monitor resources. • Source Control & CI/CD: GitHub & GitHub Actions for version control and CI/CD. • Operating Systems: Ansible and AWS tooling to manage Unix environments. • Backend Development: Hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying backend services in Java; scripting for ad-hoc problems. • Cloud Infrastructure: AWS/Cloud services and best practices. • Infrastructure as Code: AWS CDK & Terraform to manage infrastructure. • Architecture and Design Patterns: DDD, EDA, distributed computing architecture. • Computer Networking: Core networking concepts including VPCs, Subnets, NAT Gateways, etc. • Database Management: Relational databases (MySQL, SQLite, PostgreSQL), event pipelining using Kafka. • Internal Developer Platform: Build and maintain tooling that reduces cognitive load for product teams.
