Role Description Amazon seeks an experienced investigator to be part of a centralized Denied Party Screening team (DPS). This position performs a 1st level review function of escalation decisions from the screening system, assists with responding to audits and outside inquiries, offers guidance, feedback and support for investigators and other operations team members working in denied entities/lists and Sanctions compliance investigations. - Investigate denied entities/lists and sanctions potential matches that arise from Amazon’s screening solution to support various business units. - Participate in ongoing customer due diligence and KYC. - Assist in identifying gaps and training opportunities for escalations that come through the operations and compliance workflows. - Analyze guidance and help identify remediations for identified gaps. - Consistently meet set goals and KPIs. Qualifications - 2+ years of fraud/risk investigations experience and bachelor's degree or equivalent. - Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization. - Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and OFAC regulations. - Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese at a business level or above (N1+). Requirements - Experience solving complex investigations or escalations. - Experience working in risk/fraud analysis or in compliance organizations. - Professional certification such as CAMS, CRCM, or CRP. - Knowledge of Excel at an advanced level.
