Commercial Finance Manager
Carter Machinery
• Plays a critical role in structuring, evaluating, and approving long-term contracted distributed power solutions across data centers, utilities, oil and gas, and industrial markets. • Supports the commercial organization by developing pricing structures, financial models, and risk assessments for projects deployed in both grid-interconnected and behind-the-meter configurations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field;
- Minimum seven years of experience in project finance, commercial finance, or structured finance, preferably within power generation or energy infrastructure;
- MBA, CFA, or similar advanced credential;
- Strong experience with long-term contracted assets (Lease, EaaS, PPA, or similar);
- Advanced financial modeling skills (Excel-based project finance models);
- Experience supporting debt financing and lender negotiations;
- Experience in data center, utility, industrial, or oil and gas markets;
- Prior leadership or people-management experience.
- Thorough understanding of commercial and financial structuring.
- Understanding of distributed power generation, capital intense projects, deal structuring.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Exposure to tax equity or alternative financing structures.
- Must be able to build and maintain financial models.
- Must have ability to identify and evaluate risks associated with proposed transactions.
- Must be able to work collaboratively with Operations to ensure long-term operating assumptions are realistic and achievable.
- Must have an excellent driving record.
- Must be willing to travel, including overnight or out-of-town via car or airplane.
- Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Must be able to engage in effective and persuasive discussions on complex topics with top management and other company personnel.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must have good attention to detail.
- Strong organization skills with the ability to effectively prioritize (with changing priorities), multi-task, and address issues quickly and professionally.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple competing tasks and demands.

You won’t just be "crunching numbers"—you will be the primary strategic architect for the financial future of our Messaging channel. This is a high-impact, business-partnership-heavy role where you act as the lead strategic finance partner for the Messaging leadership team. You will provide the financial governance needed to turn technical product roadmaps into sustainable growth, ensuring our messaging channel remains both a market leader and a model of operational efficiency. While Messaging is your anchor, your influence is enterprise-wide. You will own a portfolio of strategic special projects, leading cross-functional teams to solve Twilio’s most complex scaling challenges and identifying untapped levers for growth and margin expansion. Responsibilities In this role, you’ll: - Strategic Business Partnership: Serve as the lead finance partner to VP and Director level R&D leaders. You will influence strategy for the Messaging channel, while supporting and assessing the ROI of roadmap invesments - Product Performance & KPIs: Define, track, and report on the "vitals" of the product.
