You can read more about our latest funding round here. 🖥️ Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend to join our team and help us build a new category of developer tooling. You will solve deeply technical problems and dive into scalability issues. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the core backend systems that power Cortex while working closely with the product and support engineering teams. ⚙️ Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain scalable, and efficient backend systems and services that meet enterprise requirements - Work alongside other engineers to build new features and enhance existing ones - Optimize and improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of existing backend systems - Participate in operating our systems in production, including Incident Response on a rotational basi - Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members - Write clean, maintainable, and testable code that adheres to best practices - Partner closely with engineering, product, leadership, sales, and our customers to better understand design requests and user experiences - Continually improve existing planning, development, deployment processes ✔️Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience - 5+ years of experience building backend applications using any modern programming language - Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and cloud computing platforms - Experience with modern data storage solutions, such as MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB etc. - Knowledge of current standard methodologies and to try, learn and adapt to new technologies and programming languages - Solid fundamental skills in data structures, algorithms, and web development best practices - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills - Strong communication and collaboration skills - Ability to mentor and coach junior engineers 💰 Compensation - Starting Salary Range: $165,000 and $195,000 - Competitive Equity Package *Our job titles may span more than one career level. Key Responsibilities - Lead modernization initiatives, transforming legacy systems into cloud-native, scalable architectures - Design and architect API-first ecosystems, including RESTful and event-driven APIs - Build and optimize event-driven architectures using messaging and streaming platforms - Define and implement API gateways for routing, security, throttling, and monitoring - Architect high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems with strong resiliency - Design end-to-end full-stack solutions across frontend, backend services, APIs, and data layers - Ensure strong security architecture, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and zero-trust principles - Drive deployments across cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) and on-prem/hybrid environments - Ensure responsive, intuitive user experiences compatible with desktop and mobile platforms - Establish architecture standards, scalability patterns, and performance benchmark

• Design and develop solutions using SharePoint (Online/On-Premise). • Create and maintain **InfoPath forms** and workflows. • Customize SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, and web parts. • Develop and integrate workflows using SharePoint Designer / Power Automate. • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements. • Ensure performance, security, and scalability of SharePoint applications. • Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related issues.

• Lead and support multiple engineering teams, lead very senior engineers, ensuring consistent delivery, strong technical quality, and healthy team operations. • Define and guide technical architecture and long-term system strategy across the teams within your scope and in collaboration with EMEA engineering leadership. • Own and manage technical roadmaps jointly with the VP of Product, VP of Engineering and Director of Engineering in EMEA. This includes identifying and addressing technical debt and long-term system health. • Partner closely with Product Management to align engineering strategy with product priorities and customer needs. • Ensure teams have clear execution plans through effective backlog management, sprint planning, and retrospectives. • Drive and protect team velocity: proactively identify blockers, work with product and tech leads to keep delivery cadence high, and treat speed as a first-class engineering value alongside quality. • Make decisions with imperfect information, hold yourself and your teams accountable for outcomes over activity, and see work through to completion rather than handing it off • Measure team effectiveness and continuously improve delivery processes, engineering practices, and team performance. • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning for senior engineering staff. Manage all hiring, onboarding, performance, and exits on your team.** • Maintain visibility into system reliability and operational health, and participate in on-call rotations when needed to support operational awareness. • Engage directly with customers often to understand their pain points, connect engineering work to real problems, and drive until solutions deliver real customer value.
