Job Description

Sourcing Manager – NPI

Plexus Corp.

• Responsible for identifying materials suitable for corporate contracts within assigned commodity scope. • Responsible for developing and administering contracts which take full advantage of the total corporate volume. • Developing supply chain strategies to yield component contracts at the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). • Responsible for generating forecast and total purchase reports for management as required. • Develop, communicate, and execute the forward growth strategy for assigned commodities. • Conduct industry research and have a high degree of business knowledge of the manufacturers, suppliers and market place. • Establish performance objectives and associated metrics for the Commodities Group. • Track the performance and report progress on a monthly or quarterly basis as directed. • Support sites in the region when critical component escalations arise. • Provide necessary guidance and support to the organization on the commodity strategy. • Cultivate and maintain regional and global strategic supplier relationships with their executives for all major component types within assigned commodities.

Job Requirements

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or equivalent experience.
  • Procurement, supply chain, distribution, and logistics competence
  • Strong experience driving KPIs
  • Demonstrated commodity management expertise
  • Ability to communicate at all levels within an organization
  • Strong data analysis and decision-making capabilities
