Location: RemoteDuration: 8 months Top Skills (Must-Have): - IBM z/OS Connect (Designer, API toolkit, or VS Code tools) - Strong REST API development + OpenAPI 3.0 - Mainframe technologies: CICS, IMS, Db2, COBOL, PL/I - Data mapping: COBOL ↔ JSON (JSONata or similar tools) - Understanding of API security (authentication/authorization) What You’ll Do: - Build and deploy APIs connecting mainframe systems to modern applications - Design and manage API specifications using OpenAPI - Transform legacy data structures into JSON-based services - Support integration across hybrid-cloud environments - Troubleshoot and optimize API performance on z/OS Nice to Have: - Azure API Management - Enterprise integration / hybrid-cloud experience - JCL, batch processing, and z/OS workflows Education: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
