Role Description As a Director of Sales (IC), you will drive new business development and manage strategic accounts with full ownership of the sales cycle, from prospecting to closing. This senior individual contributor role is hunter-heavy, focused on expanding the company’s footprint within private equity and consulting clients. The ideal candidate has a proven book of business, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and brings a strong track record in primary research sales. Key Responsibilities - Drive new business development with private equity firms, consulting firms, and other strategic clients. - Leverage and expand existing networks to identify and close high-value opportunities. - Act as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation and close. - Collaborate with internal teams (survey engineering, product, client success) to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the market, competitive landscape, and client needs to position the company as the leading solution for fast, reliable survey-based insights. Qualifications - 10+ years of experience selling research, insights, or data-driven solutions to private equity, consulting, and/or investment clients. - Proven track record of closing high-value deals and maintaining a strong book of business. - Hunter mentality: highly proactive in sourcing and pursuing new business opportunities. - Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and strategic selling skills. - Legally authorized to work in the U.S. and comfortable with occasional travel.
