Horizontal Digital recently kicked off a website transformation engagement with a new client in the healthcare industry. Within the scope of the work, we will be consolidating and rewriting content on their site—making the website highly brand resonant (immersing the consumer in their updated brand tone and promise) and elevating the clinically distinctive programs via storytelling and clear copy. As a Junior/Mid-Level Healthcare Copywriter, you will be part of a team that shapes and helps facilitate copy/content creation for our regional healthcare client’s new website. Your writing will help re-establish their brand, clarify the specialty care they provide, and elevate the overall digital healthcare experience. Everything you create should ladder up to our client’s strategic business and brand goals, ultimately giving patients and caregivers clear and purposeful information that helps build confidence. You’ll bring an exceptional command of language to craft content that is informative, intuitive, and engaging, while collaborating closely with a high-caliber, multidisciplinary experience team. What you’ll do: - Write clear, concise, accurate, and well-organized website copy for a healthcare brand, ensuring clinical accuracy with a distinct, approachable, and professional brand voice. - Merge existing content with updated voice and tone needs. Content areas may include cardiology, oncology, family medicine, mental health, orthopedics, pharmacy, insurance, patient care, and more. - Understand the client’s business and align it across website copy. - Support content work with a clear point of view that supports business objectives while giving users the information they need. - Pivot effortlessly based on evolving requirements, timelines and feedback – offering thoughtful solutions along the way. - Translate briefs, brainstorm inputs, and research into content that engages, educates, builds authority, and drives action. - Confidently present work to internal teams. - Build collaborative relationships with internal partners. - Deliver work efficiently and on time, within budget. Who you are: - You think ahead, applying creative and strategic insight to complex business challenges and customer needs. - A digital expert with excellent taste in what makes an experience great - A writer, storyteller, content creator, creative with passion for the tone, feel, story and interactivity of digital experiences - You are a proactive problem-solver who requires minimal direction - You’re adaptable, comfortable with shifting priorities, and unfazed by ambiguity. - You can roll with the punches and embrace change while carrying a positive, can-do attitude throughout the entirety of a project - You have excellent written and verbal communication skills What you bring: - 2+ years of professional work in U.S. healthcare copywriting or content writing - Recent experience supporting a healthcare brand beneficial - Familiarity with regulatory and medical/legal review process - Understanding of best practice use of AI tools, agents, and plugins to accelerate workflows and processes is highly desired - Ability to contribute to workshops, and ability to help synthesize insights into actionable content direction. Additional Information The anticipated base salary range for this position is $82,800 - $110,400. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
