• Work with open source communities (e.g. istio) to build the next generation service mesh for all Airbnb back-end services; • Build the cross-region gateways and load balancers for global Airbnb services; • Work with external partners and internal engineering and security teams to deliver edge security systems that protect Airbnb services; • Design the multi-region network architecture on public clouds, and build software and operation tools to manage Airbnb’s production network; • Work with product and engineering teams to optimize the network performance for Airbnb services;

• Work on systems at scale with large data sets, build and continuously improve applications for Airbnb product, business and operational use cases. • Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners including software engineers, product managers, operations and data scientists, identify opportunities for business impact, understand, refine, and prioritize requirements for engineering systems, drive engineering decisions, and quantify impact. • Hands-on prototype, develop, productionize, and test solutions and defenses to existing and emerging fraud trends.

• Be a technical visionary and innovator for the D2C Growth team. • Drive the evolution of customer acquisition channels and platforms. • Provide technical leadership across Aura Engineering. • Develop an AI-powered optimization platform to reduce Customer Acquisition Cost. • Collaborate with Data Science and Marketing to accelerate growth. • Build a personalization platform to power individualized customer journeys. • Mentor other engineers and elevate the standard of technical and operational excellence across the engineering organization.
