About Pantheon Pantheon WebOps Platform powers the open web, running more than 300,000 sites in the cloud for customers including Google, Princeton, Salesloft and Doctors Without Borders. Every day, thousands of developers and marketers create, iterate, and scale WordPress and Drupal sites to reach billions of people globally. Pantheon’s multitenant, container-based platform enables organizations to manage all of their websites from a single dashboard. Organizations including Clorox and the United Nations drive results through accelerated development and real-time publishing using Pantheon’s collaborative workflows. The Role We're looking for a Senior Manager to join our FP&A team as a strategic business partner to our Product and Engineering leaders. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role at the intersection of finance and technology, one that combines rigorous financial analysis with genuine influence over how Pantheon invests in its future. You'll own infrastructure spend analysis, ProdEng productivity modeling, and our R&D investment profiles, while serving as a trusted thought partner to technical leaders. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this role offers a clear path to broader strategic ownership as Pantheon continues to scale. Key Responsibilities - Deep Partner with Product & Engineering on Strategic Investment Decisions Be the trusted financial business partner in R&D conversations. You’ll lead ROI analyses on capital allocation, product opportunity sizing, and present a finance POV on location strategy and staffing for our roadmap timelines. As a key partner, you’ll be translating complex data into clear recommendations that help leaders make confident investment decisions. - Own Infrastructure Finance End-to-End Develop a deep technical and financial understanding of Pantheon's infrastructure stack — including partners like Google Cloud, Cloudflare, Grafana, and Okta. You'll build the budgets, track efficiency, and surface insights that shape how we manage and optimize these costs over time. - Build and Scale Our Financial Planning Systems Partner with FP&A and Systems teams to design and implement a next-generation financial forecasting tool. We are looking to uplevel our existing FP&A tech stack, and you'll lead the effort to automate and scale our systems, bringing AI-driven capabilities into our budgeting, forecasting, and reporting workflows. You will help drive further AI adoption within our Finance org and Pantheon more broadly in general. - Drive Efficiency Across Core Finance Processes Identify and execute on opportunities to improve speed and accuracy across FP&A and Accounting. From month-end close to topline forecasting to cash management, you'll apply automation and AI to make our processes sharper — and build durable infrastructure for headcount reviews, vendor management, accruals, and balance sheet tracking. - Contribute to Board and Investor Narratives Collaborate with Finance and R&D leaders on board materials and investor analyses that speak to Pantheon's long-term product strategy and market position. You'll provide the R&D lens — covering Gross Margin, infrastructure spend, product investments, and TAM — giving internal and external stakeholders a clearer picture of how we're building for growth. What You Bring to the Table - 8–10 years of finance experience with a business partnering focus (FP&A, Investment Banking, or Strategy Consulting) - Proven track record working cross-functionally with Product and Engineering in a technology-driven environment - Comfort navigating complex, ambiguous and large data — and a talent for turning it into a clear story - A bias toward action and continuous improvement - The willingness to roll up your sleeves, regardless of the size of the task - Humility, a collaborative mindset, and a sense of humor Bonus Points - Background in venture-backed or pre-IPO companies - Familiarity with usage-based infrastructure costs (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) - Experience scaling financial systems and tooling What We Offer We have all the usual perks and benefits but what we can really offer you is a fantastic work environment powered by an amazing team. - Industry competitive compensation and equity plan - Flexible time off, sick days, and 13 paid holidays - Comprehensive medical insurance including Health, Dental and Vision - Paid parental leave (plus fertility, adoption and other family planning benefits) - In-office workspace (San Francisco) and (Chicago) - Monthly allowance for wellness, reading and access to LinkedIn Learning for continued development - Events and activities both team-based and company wide that inspire, educate and cultivate The base salary range for this role is $126,000-157,000 USD This position also offers a performance bonus dependent on company performance. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Pantheon complies with federal and local disability laws and makes reasonable accommodations for applicants and employees with disabilities.
