Technical Writer, SEO Content Engineer – SaaS, Developer Docs

• Development of high-quality docs - including video content, how-to articles, and case studies to make using our software products easier and to reduce support load. • Documentation SEO Optimization • Rewrite existing docs pages to align with high-intent search queries • Improve titles, headings, and on-page keyword targeting • Add contextual introductions and use cases to technical pages • Work with colleagues to generate content (you are not alone) • Ensure our content remains high quality, detailed, useful, and of value to developers • Create 5–10 long-form “pillar” technical guides (2,000–4,000 words) • Build structured internal linking across docs and marketing pages (working with marketing team) • Add/create: Architecture diagrams (can be simple) API examples • Implement FAQ, HowTo, and TechArticle schema • Continuously expand docs with new SEO-driven pages • Produce a monthly report on progress and rankings vs competition

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience with SaaS, APIs, or developer documentation
  • Technical SEO (not just blog SEO)
  • Strong understanding of: Software architecture concepts (APIs, licensing, usage tracking)
  • Search intent and keyword mapping
  • Ability to turn fragmented docs into structured, ranking content
  • Fluent written English (native or near-native)
  • Strong use of the latest AI tooling (we will buy as required)
  • Bonus Experience with: Monetization, billing, or licensing systems/software development (SDLC), etc
  • Tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, SurferSEO
