About the role: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Software Engineer to join our Connected Asset Maintenance team. Maintenance is a brand-new product at Samsara, offering the opportunity to shape its foundations. Our team is building a cutting-edge platform that leverages digitization, intuitive interfaces, and centralized data to drive operational efficiency and modernize physical workflows. In this role, you’ll combine strong software engineering expertise with excellent communication skills to collaborate within and across teams. You’ll help build and scale systems that support Samsara’s rapidly growing customer base and build frameworks that integrate across multiple product surfaces. This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US. In this role, you will: - Work with product managers, designers, firmware, and infra engineers to architect, build, test, and deliver full-stack features across front-end, back-end, and mobile. GoLang, GraphQL, Typescript, React, and ReactNative are some of the components of our technology stack. Direct experience with these technologies is not required. - Be responsible for maintaining the production systems that your team owns and provide operational support. - Help build the culture of the team and make it an enjoyable place to work. - Solve problems that enable our product for our global customers. - Partner with other teams to take in requirements for prioritization and evangelize the platform we’re building. - Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices. Minimum requirements for the role: - 2+ years of professional experience building customer-facing applications - Strong programming/coding fundamentals in a language such as Java, Python, Golang, or TypeScript - Experience designing and architecting large, high-scale systems - An ability to estimate, communicate, and deliver upon project milestones with your team An ideal candidate also has: - Experience with a public cloud such as AWS - Familiarity with multiple tiers, like React Frontends and Microservices - Contributed heavily to driving significant value to their customers - Curious about our customers, and is eager to improve their day-to-day experience - Loves shipping features that are immediately used by our customers - Seeks to iterate on new products based on customer feedback - A Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is also eligible for an initial RSU grant with no vesting cliff, and ongoing refresh opportunities tied to performance, subject to plan terms and conditions. Overview GovCIO is currently seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer dedicated to delivering impactful features on VA.gov. This pivotal role will coordinate and perform the identification, recommendation and development of capabilities supporting efforts across different departments to ensure timely and efficient feature releases and support. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Ruby on Rails and React, as well as experience leveraging OpenAI API integrations and associated backend technologies such as Swagger docs, Git, and Sidekiq (with exhaustion monitoring). Familiarity with DevOps tools and AWS is a plus. This position is fully remote and available to candidates within the Continental United States (CONUS). Responsibilities Conducts development and analysis/research on backend components using Ruby on Rails, JSON controllers, and Sidekiq, focusing on robust server-side logic, secure database integrations with RESTful or SOAP APIs and other backend services, and adherence to data privacy standards. Participates in system planning and the development deployment process by providing expert recommendations, ensuring adherence to software compliance, data privacy regulations, and testing standards.
