Job Description

Senior Cloud Engineer

ClickBank

ClickBank is seeking a talented Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team! Fully remote, in-office, and hybrid opportunities available! As a senior member of the ClickBank infrastructure team, you will be responsible for architecting, provisioning, and maintaining highly available and secure services in an AWS environment. This role evolves our traditional cloud engineering by merging it with modern DevSecOps practices. Your primary mission is to ensure the overall health, scalability, and performance of ClickBank’s AWS infrastructure while secondary focus is placed on embedding automated security guardrails into our deployment pipelines. You will act as a technical leader, documenting solutions, investigating new services, and mentoring cross-functional teams to foster a culture of "security as code." What is ClickBank? Hint: we are NOT a bank! ClickBank is a top global e-commerce platform and affiliate marketplace powering many of the world's leading digital and physical products. ClickBank lowers the barrier to entry for entrepreneurs looking to start an online business and drives sales for online brands looking to establish an affiliate marketing program. The ClickBank platform enables growth through its proprietary affiliate marketplace, as well as powerful back-office tools such as integrated payments, analytics, and risk management. Over 20+ years, ClickBank has built a reputation for reliability and scale. To date, ClickBank has distributed $5 billion in commission payouts in more than 200 countries – without ever missing a payment. The Job... What You'll Do You will lead the implementation and support of internal and customer-facing services, managing everything from VPC networking and storage to container orchestration via EKS. Using Terraform, you will build and maintain configuration management and orchestration tools to automate environment provisioning. While your primary focus is infrastructure reliability and performance optimization, you will also identify and implement improvements to our CI/CD processes (GitHub Action, Atlantis, ArgoCD) by integrating security scanning and vulnerability management. Your responsibilities include monitoring logs for anomalous behavior, managing access to IT assets via IAM, and participating in the primary on-call rotation. You will partner closely with product development teams to provide operational support, troubleshoot complex production issues, and ensure that our "paved roads" for deployment are both fast and secure.

Job Requirements

  • Education & Experience: 4-year college degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or comparable IT experience, with a minimum of 7 years in systems administration or platform engineering (at least 4 years focused specifically on AWS).

  • Advanced Automation: Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Salt.
  • Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.
