The opportunity The Learning Experience Designer employs a learner-centered, holistic approach to designing, developing, and improving skills-based learning experiences within SNHU Professional Skills. Working collaboratively with Learning Architects, subject matter experts (SMEs), and other stakeholders, this role supports the development of new learning experiences and programs from concept through deployment. The Learning Experience Designer leverages principles from user experience design, learning science, and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, to create engaging, effective learning experiences that support skill development across the learning cycle. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: - Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of new skills-based learning experiences and programs, including participation in ideation, research, and iteration. - Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to support content development aligned with learning experience design standards. - Leverage an understanding of artificial intelligence in learning to design experiences that integrate AI-supported activities, feedback, or reflection across the learning cycle. - Utilize AI-enabled tools to support development efficiency, iteration, and continuous improvement of learning experiences. - Design and prototype learning experiences aligned with established learning experience and user experience best practices. - Develop proofs of concept and learning assets within Professional Skills learning platforms. - Create and maintain internal design documentation, patterns, and standards. - Provide creative, technical, and logistical recommendations related to the design and production of learning experiences. - Apply Universal Design for Learning principles and accessibility standards across learning experiences. - Support the creation of visual, multimedia, and interactive elements that enhance the learner experience. - Strive to create a cohesive and consistent look and feel across Professional Skills learning experiences. - Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
