Software Asset Management Analyst

General Dynamics

• Develop and maintain detailed reports and dashboards for SAM operations • Monitor software utilization, license compliance, and procurement analytics • Generate Effective License Position (ELP) reports and audit-ready documentation • Identify cost optimization opportunities through data analysis • Ensure data integrity and consistency across reporting platforms • Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure team performance

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Expertise in ServiceNow SAM Workspace dashboards and data analysis
  • Strong skills with SQL and Excel
  • Familiarity with software license compliance metrics
  • Knowledge of SaaS usage analytics and license reclamation processes
  • Certified Software Asset Management (CSAM) certification preferred

• The Travel Analyst coordinates and makes travel and lodging arrangements for Field Safety Specialists under the project assigned. • Responsible for evaluating flight travel time and for selecting the most efficient and cost-effective travel with the goal of minimizing staff travel time. • Responsible for flight bookings, itineraries, car rentals, etc. for Field Safety Specialists as well as entering travel requests into the company’s scheduling system. • Receive and review case work orders and confirm date and time of visit with Sponsor to schedule site visit. • Coordinate travel for Field Safety Specialists once site visits are confirmed with the Sponsor, ensuring all arrangements comply with requirements and company procedures. • Schedule and confirm Field Safety Specialist travel within 24 hours after receiving confirmation of site visit. • Work closely and in conjunction with the corporate travel contractor to book flights, lodging and ground transportation. • Responsible for entering travel requests into the company’s Scheduling System and creating work orders for each order. • Work with supervisory management and elevate concerns as needed. • Communicate travel requirement(s) to the Field Safety Specialists. • Confirm bookings with each Field Safety Specialist and appropriate parties. • Provide Field Safety Specialists date and time of arrival for each case assigned. • Aid in changing and/or canceling flights, provides Field Safety Specialist with travel-related information. • Remain aware of travel-related information that may cause delays or prevent flight connections from occurring and communicate this information to the Field Safety Specialist in route. • Make last-minute travel arrangements or cancellations due to inclement weather or other travel emergencies. • Ensure accurate transportation itinerary information is available to employees and appropriate parties. • Answer phones and return phone calls in a timely manner. • Perform other duties as assigned.
