Product Engineer
MTC Solutions
• Create, maintain, and update design guides, white papers, and engineering resources • Interpret test results and research findings to produce design parameters and engineering tables • Apply relevant design standards (CSA O86, NDS, Eurocode 5, AS/NZS) and document appropriate assumptions and limits • Work with the R&D team to incorporate data • Collaborate with the Marketing team to refine visual layout and UX/UI • Address recurring industry questions with the Technical Service team • Develop and maintain calculation spreadsheets and digital engineering tools • Identify gaps in existing resources and propose updates • Lead technical documentation and engineering resource projects • Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Timber Engineering (or equivalent background)
- 5–10 years of engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng. or PE) designation, or eligibility for registration
- Demonstrated experience managing technical projects involving multiple stakeholders
- Experience developing engineering resources, design guides, specifications, calculation tools, or technical publications is considered an asset
- Experience in timber engineering, structural connections, mass timber, or building products is considered an asset
- Strong understanding of design standards such as CSA O86, NDS, Eurocode 5, or similar
- Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills
- Strong technical writing and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion
- Proficiency in English required.
