• You will be a core technical leader and key strategist, responsible for defining, designing, and overseeing the implementation of enterprise data architectures. • You will work at a strategic level with business leaders, data engineering teams, data scientists, and other stakeholders. • Design and define the architectural direction of data systems, including the selection of technologies and platforms. • Lead the design of complex enterprise data models and the data governance strategy. • Define and oversee the implementation of next-generation data platforms for Big Data. • Define and audit data quality and governance policies. • Mentor technical leaders and high-potential talent in data engineering. • Articulate complex technical data strategies to executive and non-technical audiences. • Troubleshoot the most complex problems in distributed data systems. • Develop new models and process frameworks for large-scale data engineering.

Job Requirements

  • Substantial and demonstrable experience designing and implementing complex enterprise data architectures (data warehouses, data lakes, lakehouses, data meshes, streaming architectures) in large-scale environments.
  • Expert experience with a broad range of data technologies, including relational and NoSQL databases, Big Data processing tools (e.g., Apache Spark, Kafka, Flink), cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and their data services such as Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery, Microsoft Fabric, S3.
  • Extensive experience in dimensional data modeling, Big Data modeling, and designing schemas optimized for analytics and performance.
  • Proven track record of leading technical teams, defining technical direction, and mentoring senior and high-potential engineers.
  • Deep knowledge and experience implementing data governance frameworks, data quality practices, and metadata management.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate clearly and concisely with technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership, and to influence strategic decision-making.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex technical and business problems and develop innovative, effective architectural solutions.
  • Strong understanding of how data solutions impact business objectives and the ability to translate business requirements into data architectures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both languages.

Role Description We are seeking a skilled Data Migration Specialist to play a critical role in integrating newly acquired businesses into our systems and driving data excellence across the organization. In this role, you will lead the migration, cleansing, and transformation of data from multiple CRM sources into our core PestPac platform — ensuring accuracy, consistency, and seamless business continuity. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the backbone of our M&A success and help shape scalable data practices in an exciting environment. Responsibilities: - Coordinate the execution of cross-functional tasks from the M&A integration playbook, supporting multiple data migration projects simultaneously. - Analyze a variety of CRM systems to understand data structures, relationships, and anomalies. - Design data extraction and mapping schemas from legacy systems to Lookout CRM in order to support business and system requirements. - Develop repeatable migration processes, including extracting, transforming, and importing customer data. - Clean, standardize, and transform data to align with Lookout’s CRM configuration while identifying and resolving data quality issues. - Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to validate migrated data for accuracy, completeness, and integrity. - Document, track, & communicate progress of data mapping and migration activity. - Act as a liaison between internal teams and external parties during migration processes. Qualifications - 3 or more years’ experience in data migration within the pest control industry. - Experience with business operations (branch structure, service workflows, billing, scheduling, and customer management) to guide data mapping and ensure migrations reflect real-world processes. - Experience migrating CRM platforms, including systems such as PestPac, FieldRoutes, and Briostack, with a focus on maintaining data integrity, minimizing downtime, and ensuring seamless user adoption. - Experience with analyzing and transforming complex legacy datasets by developing and applying business-driven transformation rules, including complex formulas, reconciling legacy data structures, formats, and values with the data requirements of the target software. - Experience designing and executing migration pathways, including staging environments, parallel system testing, and post-migration support. How You’ll Drive Success - Data Pipeline Engineering - Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines that ingest and transform data from enterprise platforms including NetSuite, Salesforce, HubSpot, and internally developed applications. - Develop efficient ELT workflows using modern integration tools such as Fivetran, Integrate.io, Azure Data Factory, or similar technologies to automate data ingestion and transformation. - Build and optimize SQL-based transformations and orchestration processes that support reliable and efficient movement of data across the organization’s data platform. - Data Warehouse Architecture and Development - Design and implement dimensional data models and curated datasets within a modern medallion architecture data warehouse environment. - Develop and maintain data layers supporting development, test, and production environments across cloud data platforms including Azure Data Lake, Snowflake, or equivalent platforms. - Implement scalable data structures and transformation frameworks using SQL, dbt, or similar tools to support high-performance analytics workloads. - Analytics and Business Intelligence Enablement - Develop and maintain analytical models including SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) cubes and semantic layers supporting enterprise reporting and analytical applications. - Collaborate with analytics and business intelligence teams to deliver optimized data models and datasets for visualization tools including Power BI and Tableau. - Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and availability of analytical data assets used across reporting and business intelligence environments. - Data DevOps, Governance, and Platform Operations - Implement and support database and data pipeline deployment processes using Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Azure Git repositories, and Red Gate SQL Change Automation. - Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data platform performance, data pipeline reliability, and data quality across the enterprise data ecosystem. - Maintain clear documentation of data models, pipelines, architecture, and operational procedures to support maintainability and knowledge sharing. - Performs other duties as assigned.
