• Collaborate with sales to develop data-driven category recommendations that strengthen retailer partnerships and drive joint growth • Lead the development and execution of category strategies to drive growth for Flowers Foods brands and the customer, including assortment optimization, shelf space planning, and merchandising recommendations. • Play an integral role in developing tailored customer selling stories for Publix and Ahold-Delhaize, leveraging POS and shopper data to support line reviews and ad hoc requests. • Deliver integrated consumer, category, and market insights to inform your customers of strategic decisions and in-store execution. • Analyze syndicated data (e.g., Circana, Nielsen), panel data, and retailer-specific systems to identify growth opportunities, category performance drivers, and risks. • Create compelling, data-driven storytelling using tools such as Power BI, Excel, and planogram software to influence leadership. • Generate regular reporting and dashboards to monitor business performance, highlight risks, and surface incremental opportunities. • Build strong relationships with your retail partners, serving as a trusted advisor and category thought leader on shopper trends, competitive dynamics, and macro food trends. • Develop clear, concise, and impactful presentations that translate complex data into insights and drive collaborative decision-making with the customer.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3+ years of category management, retail insights, sales strategy or commercial analytics experience
- Proficiency with syndicated data (Circana experience preferred)
- Retailer-facing experience preferred
- Experience with panel data and shopper card data (Circana/Numerator)
- Ability to think 'big picture' with tactical execution, influence cross-functionality across sales, marketing and innovation
- Naturally curious, detail-oriented, and comfortable presenting in front of groups of people
- Ability to interpret and synthesize data into clear, actionable stories that influence decision-making
- Bachelor's degree required
- Proficient knowledge in Excel and Powerpoint/presentation building skills
- Able to create polished, story-driven decks that resonate with customers and internal audiences alike.
