Job Description

Senior Regulatory Specialist – Cosmetics, Personal Care

The Clorox Company

• Independently represent the PS&RA function on cross-functional project teams • Develop and execute regulatory strategies for cosmetics, personal care, and OTC products • Analyze and interpret regulatory data to provide strategic recommendations and influence project direction • Identify regulatory risks and mitigation strategies to support successful product launches • Maintain and update State and Federal reporting requirements • Prepare and review regulatory documentation including ingredient assessments, formula reviews, product dossiers, claims, packaging labels, marketing communication materials • Effectively communicate with internal teams and external partners • Lead cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Legal, Quality, and Marketing teams • Mentor junior team members and contribute to building regulatory capability across the organization • Represent the company in external forums and teach regulatory best practices

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in scientific discipline (e.g., Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Biology, Toxicology)
  • 7+ years of regulatory experience in the CPG industry, with 3+ years specifically in the cosmetic and personal care space
  • Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, global regulatory frameworks, and OTC drug regulations/monographs
  • Proven ability to lead project regulatory strategies and influence cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Results driven: Excellent operational skills including planning, organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to develop effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems
