Closing Manager
Longbridge Financial
• Manage a team of closers whose tasks include preparing closing documents, reviewing closing documents, & providing superior customer service for both retail customers & wholesale partners. • Daily/Weekly pipeline management to ensure SLAs are met each day, loans are closed and funded on time, HUDs are balanced and within compliance. • Ensure team is preparing closing documents as needed, sending closing documents to appropriate title companies/notaries, partners etc. and ensuring documents meet Investor/Warehouse Bank, FHA, and regulatory requirements. • Ability to perform root cause analysis on why loan was closed in error and provide solutions and feedback to Management. • Communicate and interact with other department managers, as well as the recruiting department to ensure that staffing needs are in line with capacity plan and profit/loss, and quality of work expectations are met. • Work with training, and other department heads to develop training tools for all team members. • Notify and work together with underwriting, managers and other department team members of any issues or delays with closing. • Communicate effectively with loan officers, account executives, sales support, and wholesale partners to ensure a smooth closing process. • Monitor and send daily & weekly production reports with quality and current production challenges to management. • Develop strategies to improve process and enhance workflow. • Hold weekly department meetings. • Establish and maintain a thorough knowledge of all products and investor requirements to ensure quality closing packages, salability to the Investor and FHA insuring. • Onboarding calls with Wholesale partners. • Complete internal and external audits of HECM and Proprietary programs. • Review and edit work instructions as needed as well as update daily checklists. • One-on-One mentoring, weekly, monthly, and or as needed, for team members who are not meeting the production and/or quality expectations and develop action plans to address. • Motivate and lead team to success using daily recognition, team building activities and positive reinforcement. • Travel, Prepare & Present department material to Offsite/Ons-site meetings and Industry Conferences multiple times a year. • Complete and Administer Employee Annual Performance Review.
Job Requirements
- Strong knowledge of all closing regulations including but not limited to RESPA/TILA, Reg B, etc.
- Effectively work under time constraints with multiple competing priorities
- Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Excellent follow up, problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Must be responsible, detail oriented, and maintain reliable follow through
- May require long hours/overtime at certain times of the month
- Closing experience within the past 3 years
- 5+ years management experience a plus
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of management and closing experience
- Multi-tasking and prioritization skills necessary
- Excellent customer service, time management, communications; oral and written skills a must
