Title: Account Manager - Huntington Distribution Finance Location: Schaumburg, IL time type Full time Hybrid job requisition id R0070257 Job Description: Description Summary The Account Manager is an experienced professional responsible for supporting and growing relationships with dealers, distributors, and manufacturers. The Account Manager manages a larger and more complex portfolio of accounts requiring advanced analysis, proactive monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration. This role serves as a key link between Sales, Credit, Finance, and Operations to ensure accounts remain healthy, compliant, and positioned for long-term success. Duties & Responsibilities - Advanced Account Management - Manage a portfolio of complex or higher‑risk accounts requiring deeper analysis, proactive monitoring, and stronger coordination across internal teams. - Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned dealers, addressing escalated inquiries, structural account changes, and unique servicing needs. - Support credit-related activities such as processing requests for credit line changes, account restructuring, and special approvals within authority. - Account Maintenance & Documentation - Process exception reviews, financial statement follow‑ups, and documentation requirements for complex accounts. - Prepare formal communications including delinquency notices, default letters, and other required correspondence. - Resolve escalated discrepancies, billing issues, suspense items, and account adjustments. - Cross‑Functional Collaboration - Partner closely with Credit, Sales, Finance, Compliance, and Operations to solve account issues and support dealer growth. - Escalate risks, prepare problem‑loan reporting, and recommend mitigation strategies. - Serve as the voice of the dealer, ensuring cross‑team alignment. - Operational & Process Support - Support dealers through application, underwriting, and onboarding processes when needed. - Ensure accurate processing of payments, credits, trade-ins, refinances, and third‑party payoffs. - Participate in and occasionally lead process‑improvement initiatives. - Monitoring & Reporting - Use analytical tools to identify stressed accounts, emerging risks, or unusual activity. - Track portfolio trends, performance indicators, and documentation compliance. - Additional Responsibilities - Represent the organization in dealer and manufacturer meetings. - Participate in special projects at the discretion of the Onboarding Manager. - Perform other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience. - 2+ years of experience in account management, customer service, loan operations, credit, or similar roles. - Experience managing multiple accounts simultaneously. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Compensation Range: $63,000 - $124,000 Annual Salary The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.
