Senior Stress Engineer

• Deliver project outputs to quality standards and deadlines • Manage project schedules, cost estimates, and team resources to meet objectives • Make key technical decisions on design architecture, material performance, and structural integrity • Conduct detailed stress analysis on composite structures • Conduct detailed stress analysis on metallic structures • Perform finite element analysis using recognized toolsets (e.g., Nastran/Patran, Simcenter 3D, Hyperworks) • Generate stress documentation including reserve factor summaries, justifications, and certification reports • Identify and mitigate technical risks within assigned projects • Support test planning and alternative compliance strategies (e.g., analysis, similarity) • Interpret design data for stress analysis, including materials, dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing processes • Collaborate with local and remote teams • Participate in technical and customer reviews, including formal gate reviews • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Proficiency in stress analysis techniques for aerospace components
  • Strong understanding of metallic materials and structures
  • Skilled in finite element modelling and post-processing
  • Ability to interpret complex design data and translate into stress assessments
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills
  • Strong understanding of composite materials and structures
  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Demonstrated leadership in technical project delivery
  • Specific skills for the role: Fuselage analysis

What this job involves: The Engineering Technical Advisor will serve as the primary technical expert for engineering operations, providing specialized technical support, regulatory guidance, and training leadership across all facility engineering disciplines.
