SynMax
• Manage the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments supporting industry-disrupting analytics platforms. • Ensure the management, deployment, uptime, and scalability of core cloud services. • Focus on DevOps practices and CI/CD automation. • Document incidents with appropriate RCA and future runbooks. • Conduct ongoing reviews of environments to identify cloud cost optimization opportunities.
Job Requirements
- BS in CS or related STEM field.
- 5+ years of experience in an Infrastructure, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering role with expertise in Google Cloud Platforms (GCP).
- Proven experience with DevOps methodologies and building robust CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with designing, managing, and deploying cloud infrastructure with a focus on ensuring scalability, security, resiliency, and high uptime.
- Experience with microservices, serverless/containerization and container orchestration such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Cloud Run.
- Strong experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack, DataDog, NewRelic, Splunk, or similar technologies.
- Experience with Infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Familiarity with networking, security, and access management within a cloud environment (VPCs, subnets, firewalls, DNS, load balancers, full/partial VPNs).
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Go, python).
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment with remotely located staff in different time zones, demonstrating strong communication and coordination skills.

Role Description We are seeking an experienced Cloud Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available network solutions across cloud environments. The role focuses on cloud and hybrid networking, network security, automation, and operational reliability. The successful candidate will work remotely from South Africa while supporting a US-based client and must be able to operate within the required US time zone.
