Role Description StackAdapt is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR oriented Compliance Analyst to join our expanding Legal team. Reporting directly to the Senior Compliance Lead, you will play a pivotal role in the ongoing maturation and strategic scaling of our global compliance program. This position offers a unique opportunity to play an active role in the development of high-level compliance strategy, policy implementation, and risk mitigation across all business units. As a foundational hire, you will be responsible for developing processes from the ground up and for navigating ambiguity without a predetermined roadmap. What You'll Be Doing: - Formulating Strategy: - Monitor emerging regulations and industry developments ("regulatory horizon scanning") and manage a compliance calendar, always with an automation-first orientation. - Compare current controls to new regulations and use the results to create practical, strategic, automation-first compliance plans. - Policy Development: - Develop, implement, and continuously refine scalable compliance frameworks, internal policies, and procedures to ensure proactive adaptation to, and strict adherence with, global regulations and internal business requirements. - Compliance Audits: - Design, execute, and manage an end-to-end internal compliance audit schedule across all business functions and operational areas, including supervising AI-generated regulatory summaries or automated risk flags. - Risk Assessments: - Conduct proactive risk assessments to identify potential control gaps, weaknesses, and emerging compliance risks. - Design and maintain AI-native workflows as the default execution path for repeatable compliance tasks, such as initial evidence collection and regulatory horizon scanning. - Analyze findings to quantify potential exposure and recommend strategic safeguards to mitigate adverse outcomes. - Oversee compliance with wage and hour laws: - Ensure compliance with FLSA, state equivalents, and applicable international standards, including employee classification, overtime eligibility, payroll audits, and statutory reporting. - Manage employment data compliance and regulatory reporting: - Ensure data integrity and governance, including EEO-1 and related federal, state, and local submissions. - Remediation & Monitoring: - Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive, real-time compliance dashboards and key performance indicators. - Utilize data gathered from monitoring activities to inform and prioritize ongoing compliance program enhancements. - Training & Culture: - Develop and update annual compliance training modules, informed by regulatory changes, audit findings, new business lines, and employee feedback, to maintain an effective and relevant program and foster a company culture of integrity and accountability. Qualifications - 3+ years of experience in compliance, trust & safety or legal. - Employment operations/compliance experience required. - Experience in AdTech or Fintech is highly preferred. - Strong familiarity with established regulatory/compliance programs and processes. Requirements - Outstanding communication skills – including written and verbal communications, interpersonal, analytical, negotiating and problem-solving skills; proven ability to work cross-functionally. - Ability to communicate firm compliance boundaries to stakeholders while maintaining positive, solution-oriented relationships. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently, manage tasks to completion, meet deadlines, and escalate issues when necessary. - Familiarity with control testing methodologies and evidence collection. - Experience supporting process improvements, coordinating projects, and assisting with change management initiatives. - Familiarity with leveraging AI tools to enhance audit, risk, or compliance processes preferred. - Ability to make effective and independent judgments, including the ability to develop creative solutions to difficult problems.
