TripSpark Technologies
Your new career adventure starts here! Job Summary: TripSpark Technologies provides people-first software and technology solutions that help transit agencies and private operators deliver reliable, equitable, and accessible transportation for the communities they serve. As part of Modaxo — a global collective of mobility technology companies — we empower agencies with modern, scalable, and innovative tools that improve mobility outcomes across North America. Our culture rewards curiosity, collaboration, and ownership. We support professional growth, encourage cross functional learning, and value leaders who champion accountability, transparency, and customer centric thinking. We are seeking a Director, Product Management to oversee the growth and innovation of our integrated suite of mobility solutions, including back‑office operations platforms, onboard vehicle technology, and rider‑facing applications supporting demand response, fixed route, and rideshare services. Job Description: As Director, Product Management, you are a key member of TripSpark’s leadership team. You will lead a team of professional product managers to define the product vision and roadmap, guide modernization across the portfolio, and partner closely with Development, Sales and Marketing, Professional Services, and Customer Care to ensure our solutions deliver exceptional value and business outcomes. You will help teams identify opportunities where AI and emerging technologies can support better outcomes, while ensuring Product remains focused on understanding customer needs and defining the problems we aim to solve. You will set product strategy while staying close enough to execution to unblock teams and make timely decisions across customer commitments, market opportunities, capacity planning, and cross functional alignment. This role is ideal for a product leader who thrives in complex environments, enjoys influencing across teams, and excels at bringing clarity to ambiguity. What You Will Do Product Strategy & Vision - Lead the development of the long‑term product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with customer needs and organizational goals. - Identify opportunities where AI, new capabilities, innovations, or emerging technologies could help solve customer problems or drive better business outcomes, while partnering with technical teams to determine the best approach. - Lead the development and validation of business cases for new product initiatives — assessing market opportunities, customer needs, and expected business outcomes — and guide these initiatives through organizational and leadership alignment. Market & Customer Leadership - Oversee the team’s approach to developing strong customer and market understanding — ensuring effective discovery practices, robust feedback loops, and thoughtful use‑case exploration that meaningfully inform product direction and new product ideation. - Ensure insights from customers, prospects, and the broader market are synthesized into clear problem statements and strategic priorities for the product portfolio. Cross Functional Leadership - Provide strategic direction and alignment across Sales, Delivery, Development, Customer Success, and Marketing to ensure product priorities, customer commitments, and business objectives are well understood and executed cohesively. - Establish clear communication frameworks and decision‑making approaches that support effective cross‑functional collaboration and efficient navigation of trade‑offs. Operational & Organizational Leadership - Establish and evolve product operations practices — including roadmap governance, release planning, and discovery frameworks — to support consistent, predictable delivery across the organization. - Explore and validate ways that AI can improve product operations, team velocity and stakeholder engagement. - Define and track key product and business performance measures, ensuring the team has the insights needed to drive informed decisions and deliver meaningful business outcomes. - Lead, mentor, and develop the Product Management team, fostering a culture of accountability, customer‑centred thinking, and continuous improvement. What You Bring - Proven product management leadership in complex mobility or technology ecosystems, with a strong ability to define customer problems and set clear product direction. - Strategic, evidence‑driven thinking that turns customer and market insights into well‑reasoned priorities and long‑term product vision. - Established track record of strong Product Management decision‑making, minimum 10 years leading a Product Management team in day-to-day operations, connecting customer needs and product opportunities to business outcomes such as revenue impact, retention risk, competitive positioning, and growth potential; post-secondary degree in Business, Engineering, or another related field preferred - Strong business‑case development and presentation skills, including evaluating upside, quantifying attrition risk, and framing investment decisions in terms that resonate with senior leadership. - Deep customer empathy paired with a disciplined focus on defining what problems to solve rather than prescribing technical solutions. - Exceptional cross‑functional collaboration experience, aligning functional departments around shared goals and clear product rationale. - Clear, compelling communication, able to influence across the organization and articulate the “why” behind product decisions. - A strong orientation toward business results, ensuring product decisions support revenue health, customer retention, and long‑term organizational growth. - Familiarity with product management and product marketing frameworks and tools, such as Pragmatic, 280 Group, or equivalent training, and experience using platforms like Aha! or similar for roadmap and portfolio management. - Comfort working in iterative, Agile‑influenced environments, while maintaining clarity of outcomes and empowering teams to execute. - Ability to travel as needed to customer sites, events, and leadership/team meetings (approx. 20–30%). Why TripSpark? When you join TripSpark, you join a team committed to improving mobility, access, and quality of life for riders across North America. We offer: - A people-first culture that empowers employees to grow and lead. - Opportunities to influence real product and organizational strategy. - Supportive leadership and cross functional collaboration. - Competitive compensation and benefits. - The stability of the Modaxo family with the agility of a focused business unit. If you're excited about shaping the future of mobility technology, we want to hear from you. Worker Type: Regular
