Job Description

Insurance Agent

Credible

Who is Credible? We are a marketplace where users can compare personalized, prequalified rates and quotes from multiple lenders and carriers, for student loans, mortgages, personal loans, and insurance. We’re challenging the status quo by giving power to the consumer. We believe in a world where ‘ethical’, ‘lending’, and ‘insurance’ can coexist, so we set out to build innovative platforms that actually work for customers. Our mission is to help people find the best loan or insurance policy possible. We believe researching and buying loans or insurance shouldn’t be confusing or complex, so we’ve focused on simplicity. Credible is open to hiring candidates in the following locations: Arizona, Connecticut, Kansas, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Florida About the Role: This role is designed for Property & Casualty agents who are already comfortable with insurance risk, underwriting considerations, and coverage structure and are looking to apply that knowledge in a high-volume, modern, digital environment. While this is not an entry-level role, we welcome agents who have built a strong foundation in P&C insurance through agency, brokerage, or insurtech experience. Training is focused on our systems, workflows, and performance expectations—not on core insurance fundamentals. Key Responsibilities - Review client-submitted online applications to assess risk and coverage needs - Advise customers on appropriate property and casualty coverage, limits, and endorsements - Present and explain quotes from multiple carriers clearly and confidently - Guide customers through binding and checkout with accuracy and efficiency - Deliver a polished, customer-centric experience, including for referral and partner-driven clients - Manage a high-volume pipeline in a performance-driven environment - Work closely with internal teams and carrier partners to resolve underwriting or eligibility issues - Maintain accurate documentation and follow-up using CRM and internal tools Qualifications - Active Property & Casualty license (required) - Proven P&C insurance sales experience (personal lines required) - Strong understanding of homeowners and/or auto insurance, underwriting considerations, and coverage structures - Experience working with multiple carriers and varying underwriting appetites - Ability to communicate complex insurance concepts clearly and professionally - Comfort operating in a digital-first, metrics-driven, high-volume environment - Strong time management, organization, and self-direction in a remote role - Broker or marketplace experience strongly preferred Why Join Us - Nationwide footprint with broad carrier access - Established digital infrastructure—no cold calling - Exposure to professional and high-quality referral partners - A role built for agents who value efficiency, scale, and expertise Credible is open to hiring candidates in the following locations: Arizona, Connecticut, Kansas, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Florida Why work at Credible? We combine the intelligence, expertise, and confidence of a financial advisor with the approachability and honesty of a friend. In other words, we’re the friend you always wish you had in finance. We are optimistic, challengers, trustworthy, clever, and smart. We are open and transparent. We strive to act as advisors by being friendly, objective, and open in our communication. We use language that is intelligent yet approachable. When appropriate, we’ll drop in a bit of wit to position ourselves as a fresh, reliable voice in the financial world. We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. We will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories consistent with applicable law.
