Project Engineer
IMI
• Manage all engineering aspects of assigned projects—from concept through completion. • Serve as a technical leader, coordinating with Project Managers, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Field teams to ensure designs meet customer specifications, schedule requirements, and budget constraints. • Lead and mentor other engineers on larger or more complex projects as needed. • Develop, review, and evaluate conveyor and material handling system designs. • Interface directly with customers, vendors, and suppliers to review requirements and resolve technical questions. • Perform engineering design evaluations and execute project work under the direction of the Project Engineering Lead. • Review customer specifications and ensure designs adhere to all contractual and technical requirements. • Provide technical support throughout the engineering, fabrication, and installation phases. • Produce system and detailed design drawings using AutoCAD and/or other approved drafting tools. • Review drawings produced by others for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards.
Job Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD & working knowledge of Inventor or similar 3D CAD tools.
- Familiarity with standard engineering concepts, practices, and procedures—preferably within the material handling or conveyor industry.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting project schedules and delivery expectations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply creativity and sound judgment.
- Experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating work with other engineers is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to quality.
