Senior Manager, Product Management

Cargill

• Lead the strategic direction, execution, and continuous improvement of software and systems supporting the Asset Operations department • Work with the EVP, Asset Operations and key stakeholders from Technology and Engineering to guide vision and strategy for software and systems including SCADA, SCADA integrations, and cross-departmental initiatives related to operational excellence • Develop and maintain a comprehensive SCADA roadmap aligned with business objectives and fleet growth • Develop and maintain a comprehensive cross-departmental initiative roadmap aligned with business objectives and fleet growth • Prioritize features and projects based on stakeholder input, business impact, and technical feasibility • Lead the transition to standardized architectures and scalable processes to minimize incremental workload across departments • Drive user acceptance testing (UAT) and process improvements across SCADA and integrated products • Implement best practices for documentation, code management, and release tracking • Champion cross-functional collaboration to clarify requirements, resolve scope gaps, and improve delivery outcomes

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in battery energy storage systems (BESS)
  • 8+ years of experience in energy
  • Undergraduate degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or other technical field preferred, with an MBA and/or advanced degree in engineering, finance, business, or related management a plus
  • Deep technical knowledge of lithium-ion batteries and the grid-scale energy storage industry
  • Demonstrated experience in product management, project execution, and cross-functional leadership
  • Strong understanding of SCADA systems, industrial protocols, and product integrations
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, drive process improvements, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to successfully meet deadlines under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work in a small team
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for site visits and company events
  • Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of working at a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Must have the ability to identify and distinguish colors
