• Generate Pipeline: Proactively identify, engage, and qualify new business opportunities through outbound prospecting across email, phone, LinkedIn, and creative channels. • Partner with AEs: Collaborate with Account Executives to develop account strategies, craft personalized outreach, and hand off qualified leads. • Think Creatively: Use unconventional and innovative tactics to connect with decision-makers and cut through the noise. • Own Your Process: Manage your pipeline, log activities in HubSpot (or similar), and track outreach consistently to ensure healthy pipeline coverage. • Learn & Adapt: Stay up to date on social engineering fraud trends, Trustmi’s solutions, and the competitive landscape. • Travel: Occasionally travel to support marketing events and company offsites.
Job Requirements
- 1–3 years of SDR experience, ideally in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Cybersecurity background is a plus, but curiosity and grit are more important.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a knack for storytelling and value-driven conversations.
- Creative problem solver who finds new ways to break into accounts and start meaningful dialogues.
- Experience using HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach, Orum, or similar tools.
- Organized, self-motivated, and resilient.
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and sales engagement software (Outreach, Orum).
- Highly organized and able to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Passion for working in a high-energy, fast-paced startup environment.

• Qualify: In this role you will primarily be the first point of contact for customers wishing to make use of Actian’s AI-powered data visualisation tool, which enables end users and Business Analysts to transform raw data into interactive, actionable insights via dashboards and reports through an easy-to-use interface. • In this role, you will gather information needed to qualify the prospects and document the information into a winning sales plan in salesforce.com. These will consist of reaching out to new contacts in existing customer accounts who are using other Actian solutions, as well as by reaching out to users of our free BI tools and upgrading them to more powerful paid-for editions. Success in this role could result in career growth as a full sales cycle seller and/or transition to other sales roles in other Actian units. • Stay organized and synthesize and report learnings from your client interactions on a regular basis to sales management, account executives – and take ownership to convert small data points & interactions into a new sales opportunity working in a sales team environment, with SDRs, Account Executives, Technical Engineering, and Customer Success. • The Sales Development Representative is the ‘tip of the spear’ that makes the best first impression with all new prospective customers – you get the meeting & create the best first impression.
