REMOTE Instructional Designer

Role Description We’re currently seeking a hands-on REMOTE Instructional Designer with deep Articulate Storyline expertise and a modern, AI-enabled approach to eLearning development. The role is a contract. This is a hands-on design and development role focused on building high-impact eLearning experiences, simulations, and microlearning within a complex, fast-moving environment. You’ll work across Storyline, video, and microlearning platforms to create engaging, scalable learning solutions while leveraging Generative AI to accelerate development and enhance learner outcomes. What You’ll Do - Design and develop interactive eLearning courses and assessment templates in Articulate Storyline - Build tax form simulations, scenario-based learning, and gamified experiences - Publish and test content within LMS environments (Docebo preferred) - Create training videos using Synthesia and develop AI-generated narration scripts - Embed video into Storyline courses and microlearning experiences - Design and publish microlearning using the 7taps platform - Partner with SMEs, Product Design, and LMS/Operations teams to develop and launch learning plans - Leverage Generative AI tools for storyboard development, scenario creation, and content generation - Maintain, update, and enhance courses across multiple learning modalities - Track project progress and maintain Jira tickets in an agile workflow Qualifications - Advanced Articulate Storyline (Articulate 360) development - Strong JavaScript skills for custom triggers, logic, and gamification - Experience building interactive eLearning and assessments - Experience working within an LMS (Docebo preferred) - Familiarity with Synthesia and 7taps - Experience leveraging Generative AI tools in instructional design workflows - Experience with Jira or similar project management tools Requirements - 1099 or C2C Contract Details (No W2) - 6-month contract (strong likelihood of extension) - 100% Remote (U.S. or Canadian candidates only) - Start date: April 2026 - 40 hours per week - $45-$50/hour (C2C or 1099), based on experience - Standard U.S. business hours (EST/CST/MST/PST) - Heavy Slack collaboration - Laptop provided - Portfolio REQUIRED What Sets You Apart - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment - Strong systems thinking and ability to design for scale - Comfort navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities - High attention to detail with a strong learner focus - AI-forward mindset and passion for modern learning design Why This Role You’ll help build next-generation learning experiences combining Storyline, AI, video, and microlearning to deliver scalable, high-impact training.
