Computer Systems Engineer/Architect (Eng Team Lead)

Role Description Foxhole is seeking a qualified Computer Systems Engineer/Architect to serve as Engineering Team Lead to oversee and manage a team supporting the modernization of IT systems in an enterprise environment. This position focuses on using relevant experience, strong problem solving, and customer service skills to assist with architecting, testing, deploying, enhancing, and sustaining development and operational activities in close coordination with the Government. - Lead complex software architecture, strategy, design, and development initiatives in support of mission-critical systems - Design and implement secure, enterprise-class information and network systems within AWS GovCloud - Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of on-premises to AWS cloud migration projects, ensuring on-time delivery - Coordinate cross-functional teams (DevOps, Security, Developers) to unblock technical issues during migration - Manage the full lifecycle of cloud-based environments including development, testing, pre-production, production, and VPN-accessed systems - Conduct proactive system checks, storage utilization reviews, log analyses, connectivity validations, and backup verifications - Collaboration with Government and AWS GovCloud support contractors to rapidly troubleshoot and resolve cloud-based issues - Conduct architecture reviews and code-level guidance to optimize applications for cloud performance - Define and enforce architecture standards for cloud-native adoption - Develop and maintain secure backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies leveraging AWS Availability Zones - Align architecture and operations to established information system standards and industry best practices - Support the development, testing, fielding, and maintenance of operational technologies and product enhancements - Maintain technical documentation including SOPs, diagrams, and system architecture guides - Develop PL/SQL ELT‑C routines to transform Legacy Schema to Future Schema inside IL5 Oracle RAC - Author cleansing/normalization and conflict‑resolution logic; manage Oracle Job Scheduler - Operate nightly refresh (DataPump, triggers) and monitor throughput and run‑time - Coordinate with DBAs on Active Data Guard health, redo validation, and failover tests - Execute reconciliation using RMAN VALIDATE, DBMS_COMPARISON, hash checks, and record counts - Support mock migrations, UAT migrations, and final cutover with rollback procedures Qualifications - Active DoD Secret Security Clearance - Minimum of 10+ years of (SME/Senior level) of Engineering and Architecture development experience, including at least 5+ years’ experience leading teams in architecting, developing, deploying, and maintaining high-availability, mission-critical systems and capabilities - Proven ability to present product strategies, metrics, and roadmaps to both technical and non-technical stakeholders - Extensive experience in architecture, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise software systems - Proven leadership experience managing technical teams - Experience managing technical risks and mitigation, reporting progress to stakeholders, and translating technical roadblocks into business language - Strong team leadership, communication, and coordination abilities with Government and internal teams - Hands‑on with DataPump, RMAN, Active Data Guard, Oracle Job Scheduler - Strong understanding of referential integrity, normalization, and reconciliation controls - Experience working within IL4/IL5 security boundaries Requirements - Bachelor’s (BS) and/or Master (MS) degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent experience (10+ years) – strongly preferred but not required - Certified, CompTIA Security+ - Experience supporting teams in AWS environments (GovCloud a plus) - Experience supporting or participating in Product Release related activities - Knowledge and experience with automation; reducing manual activities - Multi‑Service domain transformation experience - Oracle Enterprise Manager and CloudWatch monitoring familiarity Benefits - Regular attendance, maintain work schedule, attend meetings, meet deadlines - Handle confidential information, use math/calculations, stay organized, operate office equipment - May direct others - May be exposed to dust/dirt, humidity, and noise

Job Requirements
