Job Summary: The objective of the Indirect Category Manager is to develop and execute category-specific national procurement strategies for indirect spend categories (e.g., professional services, IT, marketing, facilities, and other non-material goods) to drive operational performance improvement while reducing cost and risk. Leveraging multiple data and reporting platforms, the associate will utilize analytical skills to develop and execute plans supporting multiple internal stakeholder groups. This role reports to the Director of Procurement Systems and supports sourcing, contracting, procurement operations, and supplier relationship management for indirect categories. Essential Functions: - Build strong relationships with business leaders to understand requirements, align on negotiation strategy, and influence decision‑making. - Own and manage $100M+ in indirect spend, identifying new sourcing opportunities, consolidation initiatives, and cost‑reduction strategies. - Develop category-specific procurement strategies to reduce organizational risk and drive performance improvements, focusing on lowering Total Cost of Ownership (including service costs, transactional, and logistical costs). - Lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities, including quarterly business reviews and performance scorecards. - Align supplier contracts, catalogs, and negotiated service offerings across departments for end‑user ease and policy compliance. - Utilize advanced analytics, dashboards, and procurement systems (e.g., Coupa) to develop insights, track savings, and measure program effectiveness - Categorize and analyze indirect spend to inform sourcing plans, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement opportunities. - Partner with Coupa SMEs to optimize system adoption, supplier enablement, catalog management, and contract‑to‑pay workflows. - Lead cross‑functional projects implementing new suppliers, negotiating renewals, and introducing process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and control. - Provide clear direction, coaching, and performance management for team members, including goal‑setting, regular feedback, career development planning, and fostering a culture of accountability. Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in Indirect Procurement with significant depth in IT sourcing and complex contract negotiations (software, cloud, infrastructure, and managed services). - Proven experience establishing, scaling, or leading an enterprise indirect procurement program and managing $100M+ in annual spend. - Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, finance, economics, data analytics/science, or related field. - Strong understanding of Total Cost of Ownership, vendor performance metrics, and strategic sourcing best practices. - Experience with procurement systems (Coupa preferred) and advanced analytical/reporting tools. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management skills with the ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives. - Ability to travel 10–20% to supplier locations, industry events, and company sites.
