As a member of the Data Engineering team, you will help develop cloud-based data platforms & services that enable the organization to develop new product offerings, improve existing products and make data-driven decisions. The team is also responsible for building tools and promoting best practices for data management. In this role, you will have the opportunity to solve interesting data challenges in greenfield projects using modern technology architectures. You will work closely with Data Architects, Database Engineers, and Product Managers. You'll Get To: - Own performance, scalability, and operational excellence across critical services.You will blend software engineering and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, fault-tolerant, distributed systems-focusing on performance, capacity, availability, and security. - You'll own service reliability across the stack and collaborate closely with developers, architects, and infrastructure teams to ensure services are resilient by design and self-healing by default. What You'll Bring: - Automate operational tasks to reduce toil and increase team velocity. - Lead timely and reliable deployments, with emphasis on progressive delivery techniques (canary, blue/green, feature flags, zero outage, etc.). - Partner in blameless postmortems and ensure incident reviews lead to systemic fixes. - Automate secure lifecycle of certificates, secrets, and credentials. - Build and maintain cloud-native security stacks and compliance guardrails. - Execute infrastructure rotation and automated rehydration to maintain fleet hygiene. - Create and manage highly reproducible environment provisioning via Infrastructure as Code. - Collaborate across disciplines to ensure observability, traceability, and cost-efficiency. - Own end-to-end service operations including on-call, deployments, capacity planning, cost optimization, incident response, etc. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives across availability, latency, and efficiency. - Champion SLIs/SLOs/SLAs to measure and improve system health and user experience. Define and enforce error budgets to balance innovation and stability. We're Even More Excited If You Have: - 5-10+ years in SRE, DevOps, or systems engineering in production cloud environments. - Education: B.tech/B.E in Computer Science or related field. - Expertise in automation, observability & monitoring, CI/CD pipelines, and incident management. - Experience with SRE principles (SLI/SLO/error budgets/postmortems, etc). - Proficient in IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef. - Experience in working on HashiCorp tools - Consul, Vault, Nomad, Packer. - Strong cloud knowledge (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure a plus). - Experience with containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, etc.). - Advanced scripting and automation (Python, Go, PowerShell). - Familiarity with cloud cost monitoring and optimization techniques. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including documentation. - Proven ability to lead high-stakes recovery and drive systemic resilience improvement.
