Technical Project Manager
Aqua Finance
• Responsible for driving projects to completion and delivering them according to established timelines and within scope • Accountable for developing and maintaining project artifacts • Ensures compliance with the Technical PMO methodology, including documentation requirements, change control, proper approvals, and communication plans • Define and manage project scope, goals, deliverables (that support overall project objectives) working with Product Managers and/or Enterprise Project Managers • Accountable for delivering complex projects according to PMO standards to achieve the strategic objectives of the project • Structure tasks according to predefined sprints within the current JIRA framework • Monitor progress, address challenges quickly, and notify Product Managers or the Enterprise Project Manager of any plan deviations • Manage project communication and provide weekly updates to a cross functional team on sprint and project progress • Manage, facilitate, and maintain CRID (Change Requests, Risks, Issues, Decisions) Log and report weekly • Partner with associated development or technical teams to resolve issues and conflicts within the team • Direct the team to achieve a common goal by establishing a shared vision
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, a technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience required
- Minimum of five (5) years of IT or technical strategic project management experience required
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred, or willingness to obtain PMP certification within two (2) years of hire
- Financial services or regulated industry experience preferred
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including both traditional (Waterfall) and Agile (Scrum) frameworks
- General knowledge of software development life cycles (SDLC)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Jira, and Confluence
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy required
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
