• Gathers information on employer-sponsored retirement plans and develops tailored recommendations for prospective plan sponsor clients; • Communicates with clients, prospects, recordkeepers, TPAs, insurance company partners, and internal service teams to advance retirement plan opportunities; • Finalizes the sale and implementation of group retirement plans by coordinating required paperwork and collection of deposits; • Develops prospects by attending industry affiliations, engaging in networking events, and generating referrals; • Responsible for coaching, mentoring, and managing the professional development of colleagues within the retirement practice; • Maintains an understanding of the group retirement and institutional investment marketplace.
Job Requirements
- Holds Series 65 or 66 (or equivalent) and maintains all required registrations and continuing education.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting or a related field preferred.
- Advanced industry designations such as AIF®, CFP®, CPFA®, CEBS®, C(k)P® or similar are strongly preferred.
- Possesses a state Life & Health Insurance License or is willing to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Financial Advisor, Retirement Plan Advisor, or in a closely related institutional retirement role, with a proven focus on employer‑sponsored plans.
- Proven track record in sales, business development, and client retention within the group retirement or institutional market.

Role Description This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director, Associate Financial Planners - REMOTE. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of Associate Financial Planners to drive client acquisition, retention, and the enhancement of client value through our wealth service offerings. Your leadership will ensure that clients receive outstanding service and guidance in their financial planning journeys. You will empower your team to thrive in a collaborative and values-driven environment, while adhering to corporate policies, promoting smart investment decisions, and enhancing client experiences across various fields including retirement and risk management. - Lead a team of about 30 Associate Financial Planners (AFPs) to drive client acquisition and retention. - Coach and develop AFPs to perform comprehensive financial planning analysis for clients. - Guide AFPs in utilizing internal tools for financial planning processes. - Manage performance metrics and drive strategic priorities in partnership with planners. - Ensure adherence to corporate policies while enhancing the client experience. Qualifications - 5 years of experience in financial services sales management with a distributed team. - Direct experience leading teams of 10 or more, including recruiting and performance management. - Strong leadership skills to empower sales staff effectively. - Deep understanding of financial services, comprehensive financial planning, and RIAs. - FINRA Series 65 required. - Bachelor's degree in business or finance, or equivalent industry experience. - Certified Financial Planner designation preferred. This position has been segmented as Hybrid meaning there is a combination of three onsite days per week and the rest remote. Responsibilities: - Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, working closely with business units to ensure alignment with organizational goals. - Prepare and maintain detailed financial models to support various budgeting scenarios, including sales, costs, and profitability. - Provide actionable insights into financial trends and performance against budget. - Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance analysis, including variance analysis between actuals and forecasts/budget. - Analyze sales data, product margins, and store performance to drive actionable insights for senior leadership. - Develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor financial and operational performance. - Collaborate with senior management and department heads to assess financial impact of key business initiatives, investments, and cost-saving opportunities. - Support decision-making by providing financial models, risk analysis, and recommendations. - Assist in business case development for new store openings, product launches, and expansion plans. - Work to streamline financial processes and reporting tools to increase efficiency and reduce reporting timelines. - Implement best practices in financial planning and analysis, focusing on automation and system integration. - Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
