FP&A Manager - CHEF'STORE (Hybrid: Onsite and Remote Work)

This position has been segmented as Hybrid meaning there is a combination of three onsite days per week and the rest remote. Responsibilities: - Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, working closely with business units to ensure alignment with organizational goals. - Prepare and maintain detailed financial models to support various budgeting scenarios, including sales, costs, and profitability. - Provide actionable insights into financial trends and performance against budget. - Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance analysis, including variance analysis between actuals and forecasts/budget. - Analyze sales data, product margins, and store performance to drive actionable insights for senior leadership. - Develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor financial and operational performance. - Collaborate with senior management and department heads to assess financial impact of key business initiatives, investments, and cost-saving opportunities. - Support decision-making by providing financial models, risk analysis, and recommendations. - Assist in business case development for new store openings, product launches, and expansion plans. - Work to streamline financial processes and reporting tools to increase efficiency and reduce reporting timelines. - Implement best practices in financial planning and analysis, focusing on automation and system integration. - Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture. Supervision: - 1 Sr. Analyst Relationships: - Internal: Interact with all levels of associates within the CHEF’STORE.  - External: Interact with consultants, vendors, and other third parties as necessary for projects and ongoing business concerns. Minimum Qualifications: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the retail, food, or consumer goods industry. - Experience with retail-specific financial metrics (e.g., same-store sales, LFL, basket size, etc.). - Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. - Proven track record of driving cost efficiencies and operational improvements while maintaining a focus on long-term business sustainability. - Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting, with advanced proficiency in Excel and financial planning tools (e.g., Anaplan, SAP, Oracle, Hyperion). - Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and present actionable insights with clarity and transparency. - Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. - Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement. - Ability to travel 10% Preferred Qualifications: Communication skills: - Ability to convey ideas clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing - Skill in active listening and ensuring mutual understanding - Proficiency in giving constructive feedback and facilitating open dialogue Emotional Intelligence: - Capacity to understand and relate to the emotions and perspectives of team members - Ability to manage one’s own emotions and respond appropriately to the emotions of others - Skill in building strong, trusting relationships and fostering a supportive team environment Problem Solving: - Ability to analyze information, consider alternatives, and make sound decisions - Skill in identifying and resolving conflicts and challenges promptly and effectively - Capacity to think critically and strategically about the best course of action Inspiration: - Ability to inspire and motivate team members toward achieving common goals - Skill in recognizing and rewarding contributions and success - Proficiency in creating an environment that encourages engagement, creativity, and high performance Accountability: - Commitment to holding oneself and others accountable for performance and behavior - Ability to set clear expectations and follow through on commitments - Demonstrating integrity and ethical behavior, serving as a role model for the team Education: - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Business or analytical field required, or equivalent work experience This role will also receive an annual incentive plan bonus. ​Benefits for this role may include health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance. This position will be fully remote within the United States, with the office located in Fairfax, VA.
