Staff Data & Analytics Engineer

GE Aerospace

• Responsible for managing business critical data engineering processes and data architecture solutions in order to enable analytical and reporting solutions • Responsible for analyzing and preparing the data needed for data science based outcomes • Managing and maintaining metadata data structures • Deliver results in a timely manner using agile methodologies • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines integrating data from asset management, logistics, ticketing, ERP, and procurement systems • Develop and manage data models and integrations for Digital Workplace supply chain domains • Ensure data quality and governance by implementing validation rules • Own core dashboards and reports for PC and accessory volumes • Analyze trends and performance to identify bottlenecks, risks, and improvement opportunities • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data solutions • Automate and optimize data and reporting processes

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 4 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 7 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 9 years of professional experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the Data and Analytics domain
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Digital Workplace Technology
  • Strong SQL and data modeling skills, with experience extracting, joining, and shaping large operational datasets (orders, shipments, inventory, returns, deployments)
  • Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Python or R)
  • Hands-on experience with data warehousing or lakehouse platforms
  • Applied analytics experience using statistical methods and basic forecasting
  • Background in supply chain, logistics, or asset lifecycle processes
  • Experience with integration and monitoring tools (e.g., APIs, message queues, platforms like ServiceNow/Splunk)

Role Description Mathematica is searching for Medicaid Data Analytics Analysts with interest in Medicaid policy and programs at either the state or federal level to support current and emerging data analytics work. Medicaid data analysts will likely be connected to 1-3 projects at a time, with many projects requiring work with multidisciplinary teams and direct client contact. Projects may span across several policy and programmatic areas: - Medicaid enrollment - Managed care programs - Value-based purchasing and alternative payment models - Long-term services and supports - Measures of delivery and quality of services for beneficiaries - Outcomes of innovative programs and policies Across all projects, Medicaid analysts are expected to: - Lead or participate actively and thoughtfully in project teams to implement, monitor, or evaluate policy and programs - Apply rigorous analytic thinking to the collection, analysis, and interpretation of quantitative data - Develop expertise in Medicaid data, policy, and programmatic areas - Leverage data visualization, business intelligence platforms, and emerging artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled tools to enhance analytic efficiency, insight generation, and reporting Specific project activities may include: - Assisting with quantitative analyses using Medicaid enrollment, claims/encounter, financial and program data to support program monitoring, improvement, or evaluation - Participating in decisions regarding analysis design and methodology - Reviewing policy, program, and/or data documentation to develop technical specifications for analyses - Working with developers to compile and analyze data - Investigating data to identify data quality issues, patterns, or other findings - Supporting the development of dashboards, data products, or visualizations using business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Amazon QuickSight) - Applying artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning concepts, where appropriate, to support data exploration, pattern identification, documentation, quality assurance, or workflow efficiency - Translating analysis findings into actionable information to support clients in making data-driven decisions regarding Medicaid policies and programs - Providing technical assistance to federal and state Medicaid stakeholders to support the implementation of data collection, monitoring, and reporting programs - Authoring client memos, technical assistance tools, issue briefs, chapters of analytic reports, user manuals, and webinar presentations summarizing findings Qualifications - Master’s degree or equivalent in data analytics, public policy, economics, statistics, public health, data science, behavioral or social sciences, or a related field; or a Bachelor's degree and equivalent experience - Experience conducting quantitative analysis work in a health setting, with experience in Medicaid enrollment, claims, financial, or program data - Experience using programming languages or statistical software (e.g., SQL, Python, R, SAS, Stata) and business intelligence tools to analyze and visualize complex data - Familiarity with AI, machine learning concepts, or AI-enabled analytic tools and an understanding of their appropriate use in policy research and data analysis environments - Excellent written and oral communication skills, including an ability to write clear and concise policy and/or technical memos and documents for diverse stakeholder audiences including program administrators and policymakers - Demonstrated ability to work on multidisciplinary teams - Strong organizational skills and high level of attention to detail; flexibility to manage multiple priorities, sometimes simultaneously, under deadlines Requirements - Please submit a cover letter and resume.
