Role Description The Team’s mission is to provide seamless, customer-focused services to the entire Motional Organization, and you will be a cornerstone of this team with primary focus on indirect procurement commodities that support Motional’s Engineering and SG&A teams. - Manage strategic sourcing process and negotiate contracts at a sophisticated level. - Effectively collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (internal and external) to develop sourcing strategies that align with budget, focus on reducing cost and mitigating risk. - Align on sourcing initiatives with several teams including but not limited to Legal and Finance, Engineering, IT, Cybersecurity, and Executive leadership. - Develop and manage sourcing events (RFx’s) and vendor selection processes. - Manage supplier management programs with defined SLAs and KPIs for key suppliers and measure the appropriate criteria, such as: - Delivery of business results - Cost reduction - Quality and timeliness of delivery - Understand interrelationships between contracts and terms while applying creativity and sound business reasoning to interpret application of contract to business needs. - Support supplier onboarding and purchase requisition programs for internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with Procure to Pay policies and procedures. - Communicate, manage, and drive compliance to category strategies. - Conduct research, perform benchmarking, and gather market analysis for assigned categories. - Establish preferred suppliers for assigned categories. - Ability to work flexible hours and support a global workforce. Qualifications - 4 - 7 years of strategic sourcing experience within complex design and software development and manufacturing environments (consumer products, automotive, etc.). - Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business Administration, IT, or similar area of study. MBA, JD and CPSM, CPIM or C.P.M. certifications highly desirable. - Experience in working with a broad cross-functional team in an extremely dynamic environment. - Experience working in a global environment with domestic & international suppliers. - Can do attitude, can roll up the sleeves and dive into the details quickly. - Data-driven approach to tracking, monitoring and reporting on defined spend management objectives to ensure we are executing on defined goals. - Analytical skills: spend analysis, cost modeling, and data interpretation. - Communication & collaboration: verbal, written, and presentation skills for engaging internal stakeholders and suppliers included Executive Leadership. Role Description In this role, you will handle sourcing and vendor management for key spend categories which may include technology, travel, merchandise, and professional services. You’ll negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, run competitive sourcing events, and develop strategies that support business goals. - Negotiate, draft, and review complex contracts, amendments, SOWs, and other sourcing documents. - Interpret contractual terms, advise on risks, and partner closely with Legal. - Lead RFPs, competitive bids, pricing reviews, and market analysis. - Build sourcing strategies, conduct supplier evaluations, and handle the end to end sourcing process. - Partner with internal business partners to implement consistent vendor management practices. - Monitor vendor performance to ensure service quality, pricing, and delivery. - Help to improve internal processes and contribute to overall sourcing and vendor strategies. - Develop strong cross functional relationships and understand business needs. - Handle contract renewals, negotiations, and term notifications. - Create purchase orders and support procurement needs as required. Qualifications - High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred. - 5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or vendor management. - Relevant certifications (CPM, CSMP, CSM, PMP, Six Sigma) preferred. - Strong negotiator with excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills. - Strategic, collaborative, and effective in fast paced, complex environments. - Passionate about accuracy, building strong connections, and comfortable influencing others.
