Communications Associate

• Collaborate to develop and execute strategic communications plans and initiatives tailored to the unique needs and objectives of our clients. • Conduct research and analysis to identify key media opportunities, news trends, and current events, which will inform PR strategies and messaging frameworks. • Draft compelling press releases, media pitches, and other written materials to effectively communicate our clients' stories and key messages to target audiences. • Cultivate and maintain relationships with media contacts, journalists, and editors, securing media placements and opportunities for our clients in top-tier outlets. • Monitor media coverage and relevant conversations to our clients' areas of interest, providing regular reports and insights to inform strategies and measure impact. • Contribute to developing digital content and social media strategies to amplify our clients' messaging and engage with target audiences across various platforms. • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including creative, digital, and account management, to ensure alignment and integration of communications efforts with overall client objectives. • Oversee internal processes, including maintaining and updating press lists, pulling traditional press, and tracking campaign performance.
Job Requirements
- 1-3 years experience in related field, including but not limited to communications, public affairs, or government.
- Self-motivated and have excellent time management skills.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling, and persuasive messaging tailored to diverse audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with clients, media contacts, and colleagues.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset and a commitment to driving measurable outcomes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with meticulous attention to detail and organization.
- Passion for storytelling, creativity, and staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in PR and communications.
