Job Requirements

Role Description Cardinal Technology Systems Corp. is currently seeking a Reports Engineer to work for our company. - Must possess IT-I security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC). - Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-level reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using BI platforms such as SAP Business Objects, Power BI, or similar tools. - Collaborate with data engineering teams to leverage dimensional data models (star and snowflake schemas) that support intuitive, high-performance reporting. - Write and optimize complex SQL queries across environments including Databricks and Oracle, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and scalability for large datasets. - Translate business requirements into technical reporting solutions by partnering with business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders. - Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize reporting performance, identifying opportunities to improve query execution, data refresh cycles, and user experience. - Leverage AWS services such as S3, EMR, Redshift, and Glue to support cloud-native reporting and analytics workflows. - Manage the full life cycle of reporting assets, including documentation, version control, scheduling, and automated refresh processes. - Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across reporting outputs, implementing best practices for validation and reconciliation. - Provide guidance and mentorship on reporting standards, design patterns, and performance optimization, contributing to continuous improvement of the BI environment.
