• Achieve revenue goals by implementing effective sales and marketing strategies; • Prepare annual Sales & Marketing budget for the hotel with input from General Manager and final approval from appropriate parties. • Make continual outside sales calls in order to cultivate leads and potential clients. • Perform market analysis in order to develop the marketing plan and strategy. • Contact and qualify new sales leads as well as maintain contact with previous clients. • Analyze weekly & monthly reports and ensure all reports, requests for information, and special projects are submitted on or before their due date to appropriate parties. • Network with community leaders, businesses, associations, and groups in order to familiarize them with the hotel’s services. • Utilize, exploit and incorporate all Brand support and initiatives. • Ensure that marketing and sales plans are appropriate for each sales period, including special plans to maximize room revenue during forecasted low occupancy periods. • Develops and implements advertising, public relations, and promotional programs. • Identify key accounts and actively sell through personal visits and regular contact with these accounts and their decision-makers. • Maintain knowledge of the local hotel market including the strengths and weaknesses of the competition. • Use this knowledge when presenting information to decision-makers. • Familiar with the successful practices of competitors and recommends strategies or sales tactics designed to grow revenue and manage expenses. • Identify and actively solicit new accounts for the hotel. • Markets opportunities on property’s web site and on electronic distribution channels. • Actively lead all hotel sales and marketing activities. • Ensure that all sales information is communicated to all departments.
Job Requirements
- Undergraduate degree preferred.
- Strong judgment and creative problem-solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- 3 plus years of hotel sales experience preferred.
- Marketing communications knowledge/experience in relative branding, public relations, eCommerce & social media.
- Ability to travel.

Role Description The Channel Sales Manager will execute the company’s Channel strategy to grow PRN sales and market share. Responsibilities will include strategy development, securing new contracts, annual budgeting, promotions and incentives, C-suite relationship building with key industry partners and customers. Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Directly responsible for managing Channel & Distribution assigned account relationships and contracts. - Manage assigned accounts that create a pull-through of PRN sales initiatives. - Negotiate/Align with senior leaders on annual goals, annual contracts, rebates, and commissions needed to exceed the sales budget. - Negotiate contracts (annual, long-term, short-term) with partner executives within distribution & Wholesale Channels with C-suite decision-makers. - Responsible for program implementation, sales activities, reporting, and sales training initiatives for assigned partners. - Partner with senior leader to develop and manage annual budget for channel and distribution, including monthly forecasting, reporting on sales activities, and strategic adjustments and tactics to respond effectively as needed throughout the year. - Partner with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Finance, Regulatory, and Operations Teams to ensure high-quality service for assigned partners. - Manage activities surrounding partner area, including conferences, dinners, regional, and national sales meetings. - All other tasks as requested or assigned.
