Financial Accounting and Reporting Manager
Woodard & Curran
• Manage financial reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards. • Develop and support implementation of accounting policies designed to promote compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. • Ensure adequate documentation of policies and controls for key corporate accounting areas such as fixed assets, equity incentive plans, insurance plans, leases, joint ventures, intercompany and consolidation. • Stay current on GAAP developments and assist in evaluating their financial impact, research accounting treatment for new transactions, and work with auditors to ensure appropriate accounting treatments. • Oversee the development of schedules for audits, including the financial statement and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) overhead rate audits. Respond to audit inquiries. Review audit reports and schedules for accuracy of financial disclosures. • Collaborate with the controller and accounting managers to ensure effectiveness of and compliance with internal controls over financial reporting. Monitor compliance, advise on control design, and recommend improvements. • Review bank compliance reporting and related documentation. • Provide insights based on financial modeling and analysis to support decision-making. • Promote effective communication across finance functions to improve reporting efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 8+ years of relevant experience in accounting and finance
- Public accounting experience and CPA license strongly preferred
- 2 years of direct supervisory experience
- Advanced knowledge of US GAAP
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environments with numerous deadlines
- Ability to work flexible and extended schedules during periods and year-end closing, annual audits, and other times of increased workload
- Prior experience in the professional services industry a plus

• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management to make informed decisions • Forecast revenue and costs of assigned products and services on a periodic and ad hoc basis • Completes the rollup of the consolidated monthly financial forecast • Compiles monthly financial reports and management reports • Assists with interpreting the results • Prepares monthly product P&Ls for assigned products and services • Performs financial analysis on a monthly basis to identify any variances • Provides financial guidance to other departments in the creation of ROIs • Prepares and updates cost of capital assumption for use in ROI, NPV, and IRR • Acts as finance representative on product launch teams • Mentors the Financial Analyst and the accounting team in analyzing and interpreting financial data • Prepares ad-hoc reports, as needed
