• Coordinate water utility billing activities • Prepare customer bills and maintain accurate billing records • Document billing information within company software systems • Create new customer accounts within the billing software system • Assist in coordinating meter reader schedules and routes • Assist with billing system data transfers and data verification • Create service orders for field staff related to high/low meter reads • Compile delinquent account lists, send billing reminders, and generate monthly shut-off lists • Assist in the preparation and processing of monthly utility billing • Maintain organized and accurate billing, customer, and administrative records • Order and maintain office supplies • Prepare letters, reports, forms, schedules, spreadsheets, financial information, and statistical data • Answer incoming customer calls and provide professional customer service • Communicate effectively with customers, field staff, management, and other departments • Assist with special projects and perform other related administrative duties

• Coordinate with internal project teams, corporate departments, and suppliers to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards • Originate complex Purchase Order Requests and process Change Orders structured and coded in alignment with contract terms and Project Manager’s direction • Track order status, expediting as needed • Back up for pre-qualification team: Confirm subcontractor qualification has been completed and is up to date • Review and track contract, subcontractor insurance and vendor invoices to verify accuracy and compliance with contract policies • Ensure accurate invoice coding in Concur before sending to Project Manager for approval • Work closely with project teams to ensure project material needs are met • Identify purchasing process improvement opportunities • Assist with contract management and negotiations, make recommendations on proposed business terms

Prepare abstracts and present at targeted conferences to maintain reputation as a leader in the Practice and to assist in enhancing W&C’s brand. - Increase W&C visibility through prioritization of active participation including leadership in professional organizations. What you will need to succeed: - Minimum of 15 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in the execution and management in the marketplace. - Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental sciences or a related field from an accredited program. MS preferred. - Strongly Preferred: Registered Professional Engineer in CA - Strong track record of working with CA municipalities and organizations, - Broad experience in the environmental and engineering consulting business, including experience in project management and technical project execution. - Demonstrated track record of extensive project/program management. - Experience identifying, leading, and participating in business development and bid and proposal efforts. - Strong desire to grow an organization and the ability to motivate others. - Network of potential professional teaming partners, specialty sub-consultants, and industry experts; excellent reputation within the industry. - Understanding of the business development cycle explicitly related to the consulting business, including campaign management, proposal writing, and development of oral interview strategy and materials. - Industry leader with proven ability to understand and articulate issues that impact the success of our technical practice. $180,000 - $210,000 a year This role has the option for remote work, and the anticipated pay range is flexible, depending on factors such as the employee's primary work location, skills, experience, and education. The following examples illustrate how the pay range for the same role can vary based on different locations. Group A (San Diego) $180,000 - $200,000 Group B – (Los Angeles, Irvine) $185,000 - $210,000 This position’s anticipated pay range is provided; the final exempt salary or non-exempt hourly pay will depend on experience level and will consider a percentage-based geographic differential based on where the final candidate will be working. • Manage financial reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards. • Develop and support implementation of accounting policies designed to promote compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. • Ensure adequate documentation of policies and controls for key corporate accounting areas such as fixed assets, equity incentive plans, insurance plans, leases, joint ventures, intercompany and consolidation. • Stay current on GAAP developments and assist in evaluating their financial impact, research accounting treatment for new transactions, and work with auditors to ensure appropriate accounting treatments. • Oversee the development of schedules for audits, including the financial statement and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) overhead rate audits. Respond to audit inquiries. Review audit reports and schedules for accuracy of financial disclosures. • Collaborate with the controller and accounting managers to ensure effectiveness of and compliance with internal controls over financial reporting.
