Director of Labor Compliance
Adaptive Home Health
• Own compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws • Maintain an active compliance framework for 15+ states • Partner with Payroll and HRIS teams for accurate pay practices • Draft, maintain, and update employee handbooks and HR policies • Identify compliance risks and implement mitigation strategies • Train HR and Operations on state-specific labor law requirements • Support acquisitions and new state expansion through compliance due diligence
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Legal Studies, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive labor and employment compliance experience
- Demonstrated multi-state compliance experience (10+ states strongly preferred)
- Deep working knowledge of FLSA and wage & hour laws
- State and local labor law variations
- Strong ability to interpret laws and apply them in real-world operational settings
