• Design, implement, and operate high volume services in Go on top of Kubernetes/GCP/AWS • Build operational tooling for the code you write, and work with cloud infrastructure engineers to manage your code in production • Contribute to the direction of the product, and help evolve the overall platform architecture to meet product and scale needs • Refine the way we build and release the platform by contributing to build systems, test frameworks, deployment tools and monitoring

• Own the design, development, and scaling of integrations with major cloud providers (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, Cloudflare) that support mission-critical observability use cases. • Collaborate with product management, customer success, and solution architects to define integration strategy, technical requirements, and roadmaps. • Design and evolve ingestion and processing pipelines that handle large-scale metrics, logs, and events with high performance and resilience. • Establish best practices for integration security, scalability, and reliability. • Troubleshoot complex integration issues across distributed environments, partnering directly with enterprise customers when needed. • Stay current on emerging technologies, identify opportunities for product differentiation, and drive adoption of innovative integration patterns. • Create technical design documents, reference architectures, and implementation guides for internal and external audiences. • Provide mentorship, conduct code/design reviews, and help raise the technical bar for the team.

• Design, implement, and test enhancements to Control APIs and services, including rule evaluation, policy enforcement, advanced optimizations, and real-time usage insights, using Go on Kubernetes / GCP. • Build scalable systems for telemetry shaping and cost control, such as ingest policies, aggregation, sampling policies, utility scores & recommendations, and usage-based controls. • Partner closely with Product and Design to deliver customer-facing experiences that make it easy to understand telemetry cost drivers and take safe, effective action. • Own the operational quality of what you ship: instrumentation, alerting, debugging, incident response, and performance tuning for production workloads. • Collaborate across product, design, platform, infrastructure, and developer experience teams to integrate Control decisions into the broader ingestion, query, and storage ecosystem.

Qualifications - Minimum 10 years of experience with Java programming language, including latest versions (17 & 21). - Experience in any of the popular web frameworks like Spring (boot, cloud, data flow) or Micronaut. - Cloud technology experience: Azure Cloud, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Github Actions. - Knowledge of architectural styles: Microservices, Web services, SOA and API Protocols: GraphQL Federation, REST API. - Experience in monitoring & observability: OpenTelemetry, Dynatrace, other Observability tools. - Proficiency in using build tools: Gradle. - Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development. - Experience in working with databases: MongoDB, MySQL. - Experience working with Application Lifecycle Management Tools: JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, NexusPro (or similar). - Knowledge and experience of agile frameworks and practices: Scrum/Kanban, user stories, BDD/TDD, DevOps, Continuous Integration & Delivery, Pair Programming. - Proficiency in applying design patterns effectively to develop scalable and maintainable solutions. - Previous experience in balancing technical priorities with business needs and aligning teams with organisational goals while maintaining technical standards. - A strong interest in understanding market dynamics and identifying customer needs to drive strategic decision-making and business growth. - Experience in mentoring engineering teams, fostering collaboration and providing guidance when needed. - Fluency in English. - Strong understanding of Product Information Management / Master Data Management platforms (like Stibo STEP), and background in e-commerce/retail would be appreciated. - For some projects, Kotlin experience is nice-to-have.
