Job Description: The Sales Executive will develop and execute short- and long-term sales strategies to grow market share, increase machinery orders, and maximize product servicing across a multi-state western territory. This role operates within the Barry-Wehmiller Packaging Platform Group and collaborates with sales leadership to target key accounts across North America. The position is remote, based in Colorado, Utah, Texas, or Nevada. Responsibilities - Build and maintain customer relationships to identify current and future needs and develop sales leads - Identify new market, product, and adjacent service opportunities; develop organizational support for viable programs - Prepare and deliver technical and engineering sales presentations; demonstrate product capabilities - Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms; close orders to meet sales budgets and quotas - Coordinate with internal departments to ensure customer purchase and service requirements are met - Conduct pre- and post-installation seminars; partner with field service to resolve installation issues - Monitor competitive activity and market trends; determine product positioning and competitive differentiation - Create and execute regional territory plans with targeted outreach to existing and prospective customers - Maintain accurate sales forecasts, competitive intelligence files, and detailed customer requirements - Ensure customer satisfaction post-sale, acting as liaison between customers and internal teams - Promote available services including spare parts, field service, and broader company capabilities - Stay current on product changes and new projects; proactively communicate updates to customers - Maintain thorough records and activity documentation Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience, OR a 2-year post-secondary diploma/certificate with 7+ years of relevant experience - Proven experience selling labeling/sleeving equipment within the packaging industry is required; primary and/or secondary packaging sales experience or a background in engineering or as a service technician would be considered - Demonstrated ability to sell at senior levels within Fortune 500 companies - Strong presentation, interpersonal communication, and negotiation skills - Broad knowledge of automation applications and technologies; ability to read blueprints - Proficient in MS Office, CRM platforms, and AutoCAD viewer - Valid driver's license and clean driving record required - Must reside within the assigned territory and near a major airport — UT, CO, NV, or Central TX strongly preferred; CA, WA, or OR will be considered - Ability to travel 50% across a multi-state territory At Barry-Wehmiller Integrated Systems, we believe in rewarding excellence, and your hard work will be duly recognized and appreciated.
