About this Position: The Global IT Cloud Systems Manager is responsible for leading a distributed IT team across multiple time zones and overseeing the company’s cloud-first infrastructure. This role requires a balance of people management and technical leadership. This role requires a high degree of technical proficiency to serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues. The manager will continuously find ways to scale AI and automation and promote a culture of operational optimization What you'll do: Management & Team Responsibilities - Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and develop a team of IT engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth. - Strategic Roadmap Participation: Contribute to the development and execution of the annual IT roadmap, identifying technical debt and AI opportunities to ensure IT initiatives align with global business goals - Escalation & Support: Serve as the senior technical resource for the team; provide hands-on troubleshooting for complex issues - Teamwork & Collaboration: Partner with Infosec and Help Desk teams to align security controls with support workflows and ensure seamless escalation paths. - Service Excellence: Foster a "Customer-First" culture within the IT team, treating internal stakeholders as primary customers and ensuring every interaction is rooted in empathy and problem-solving. - Documentation: Ensure all IT processes and procedures are well documented - Vendor Management: Work closely with vendors to escalate and resolve technical issues, and to advocate for enhancements or improvements - Critical Incident Management: Participate in on-call rotation during high priority incidents Technical & Operational Responsibilities - Cloud Platform Ownership: Oversee the configuration, administration and security of our core stack, including Microsoft 365, Intune, Exchange Online, Google Workspace (GWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Slack, and Zoom, etc. - AI & Automation: Champion an "Automation-First" philosophy, proactively identifying manual bottlenecks and leading the team to build AI-driven solutions - Identity & Access: Manage our identity perimeter via Microsoft Entra, ensuring secure SSO and lifecycle management across all applications. - Endpoint Management: Define and evolve the global standards for endpoint management of our global device fleet, overseeing MDM and BYOD programs while optimizing patch management and least-privilege security. - Projects: Serve as the technical lead for various global initiatives, moving projects from discovery and design through to implementation and rollout. - Domain & DNS Governance: Manage the global domain portfolio and public/private DNS records - Infrastructure: Maintain light infrastructure stack at global office hubs, including firewalls, switches, and Wi-Fi, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity What we are looking for: - 5+ years experience managing a multi-regional IT team, with a focus on professional development and performance coaching. - 5+ years of hands-on administration in Microsoft Entra and Intune. - 2+ years managing Google Workspace architecture, sharing permissions, and the integration of AI tools like Gemini and NotebookLM into functional workflows. - 1+ years managing Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including project resource management, and API configurations to support AI deployment - 3+ years managing M365 Email and global DNS/domain security. - Strategic mindset: Experience identifying technical debt and contributing to annual IT roadmaps that align with business goals. - Proven track record of scaling AI and automation to solve functional IT challenges and upskilling teams to do the same. - Experience with cloud-based collaboration and communications tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack) - Technically proficient in Mac and Windows operating systems - Strong problem solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively build relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization - Ability to manage several interrelated and potentially competing priorities in parallel Preferred Qualifications: Relevant certifications are considered a plus, but equivalent hands-on experience is prioritized: - Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert - Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate - Google Workspace Professional Administrator - Google Associate Cloud Engineer The annual gross base salary range for this position is $122,400 - $153,000 plus variable compensation. #Remote Actual compensation for this position may vary and will depend on multiple factors such as relevant qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location. For Full-Time Regular Employees, this position is also eligible for additional compensation as follows: - Sales Roles: This position is eligible for a commission structure in addition to base salary. - Non-Sales Roles: This position is eligible for an annual bonus which is paid dependent on various factors, including and without limitation, individual and company performance in addition to base salary. Role Description The Senior Information Technology Specialist, Grade 28, will provide 24x7x365 support to the Montgomery County Maryland Public Safety Data Systems (PSDS) environment.
