Role Description We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director, eCommerce Technology leader to own the architecture, delivery, and continuous evolution of our digital commerce ecosystem. This role will partner closely with Digital, Marketing, Merchandising, Operations, and Technology teams to build scalable, secure, and high-performing omnichannel solutions. You will lead engineering teams, manage key vendor partnerships, and drive modernization initiatives across our commerce platforms—most notably Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC). What You’ll Do - Strategy & Leadership - Define and execute the IT eCommerce technology roadmap aligned to digital growth and omnichannel strategy - Partner with executive stakeholders across Digital, Marketing, Merchandising, Finance, Retail, and Operations to translate business priorities into scalable technology solutions - Establish best practices in engineering excellence, platform reliability, security, and performance optimization - Build an inclusive (onshore/offshore), high-performing engineering culture emphasizing accountability, innovation, and customer-centricity. Mentor and develop talent, ensuring succession planning and career growth. - Platform Ownership (Salesforce Commerce Cloud) - Own end‑to‑end technology delivery and operations for Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) - Lead architecture design across SFRA, headless, and composable commerce patterns - Drive platform modernization, feature velocity, manage releases, upgrades, and platform lifecycle management - Ensure scalability for peak traffic events, holiday season planning and promotional campaigns - Systems Integration & Architecture - Lead integration strategy across commerce, OMS, PIM, CRM, ERP, POS, payment, tax, and fraud platforms - Drive API‑first, microservices, and event‑driven architecture patterns - Ensure seamless omnichannel experiences across online, store systems and call center - Partner with enterprise architecture and security teams on long‑term modernization and AI initiatives - Delivery & Operations - Oversee program delivery using Agile, manage system integrators, implementation partners, and platform vendors - Lead DevSecOps, CI/CD, incident management, Own uptime, SLAs, performance metrics, and operational excellence - Data, Security & Compliance - Ensure secure platform design and compliance with PCI, PII, GDPR, privacy, and data protection standards - Partner with data and analytics teams to enable personalization and customer insights - Financial & Vendor Management - Proven ability to manage budgets (CapEx/OpEx), optimize cloud costs, and forecast spending - Evaluate and manage vendor contracts, QBR’s, review usage and overages, Fraud, RevOps and loss prevention - Build business cases for platform investments and innovation initiatives Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related technical field; MBA or master’s degree in technology management or business administration preferred - 10+ years of experience in enterprise digital commerce technology and 5+ years of leadership experience managing engineering, architecture and delivery teams - Exceptional communication skills, bilingual in both Technical and Business speaking - Deep hands on expertise with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, MarTech, AdTech, SEO, DAM, CDN, SSO, MFA, react native, angular and 3rd party integrations. - Proven success leading large-scale digital transformations and unified commerce roadmaps for eCommerce, POS, OMS, and Customer Engagement - Experience in retail, consumer goods, or omnichannel environments (preferred) - Experience with headless and composable commerce architecture (preferred) - Familiarity with OMS, PIM, CDP, CMS, Loyalty, Omnichannel, POS, and ERP integrations (preferred) - Knowledge of modern front end frameworks and mobile commerce (preferred) Environmental Factors & Working Schedule - Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands or fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear - Sedentary work.
